Ich hatte heute zum ersten Mal das Vergnügen im Cafe Peitesch zu Gast zu sein. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und Service, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen .. und dann die Speisekarte, kein Wunsch bleibt offen. Der Knüller ist das ausgezeichnete Sonntagsmenu, "amuse bouche" zum Aperitif, dann jeweils 3 Vorschläge für Vor- und Hauptspeise, und alles wirklich vom Feinsten, dann ein Sorbet vor dem Hauptgang, und schliesslich ein himmlisches Dessert .... und das Ganze zum Preis von 30 Eur. Wir werden ganz bestimmt wiederkommen.

In the heat, the shaded yard at the rear of this small, family-run establishment was a welcome relief. The menu du jour on the day of my visit was a good-sized bowl of soup, an assiette ardennaise and a choice of two scoops of ice cream or fruit salad. The main course was a generous plateful of two sorts of ham, two sorts of continental sausage and a slice of pate, accompanied by pickled onions, salad and chips. Tasty and efficiently served - the only detail lacking was that salt had to be requested - at only 9 euros 90, it represented excellent value.Not a fine dining experience, but none the worse for that and other dishes emerging past me looked equally generous and appealing.

If ever your are visiting this charming little village in the north of Luxembourg, you may consider paying a visit to the restaurant "Les Arcades", annexed to the Hotel International. Prices are a bit high, but you can bring them to "reasonable" if you choose one of the menus (I took one at around 35⬠and it was excellent), and if you pick one of Mousel's excellent white wines (around 20-25â¬) rather than a Bordeaux. What I can testify is that you will not be disappointed by what the chef will propose you. After all, Clervaux is a tiny little village, and the choice is not that big: I decided to go here, and I went safe.

Manoir Kasselslay is a former Michelin starred restaurant which lost its only star in 2012. Nevertheless, the chef and owner Hans Poppelaars is, according to various sources, a renowned and well-respected professional. The restaurant offers several menu options with wine pairings, and also has an extensive list of wines mostly from the upper echelon. We took the three-course Menu Terroir for 47 EUR with a Luxembourgish vin de la barrique (Aly Duhr 2007) recommended by the sommelier.After a rather forgettable amuse-bouche, the menu kicked off with a fresh-to-the-bone trout salad. Nothing really original, but having much flavour. The main dish of brown trout fillet was equally âordinaryâ in terms of cooking, and again with an extremely fine piece of fish. The dessert of parfait glacé was just good without that little bit of extra which you might expect from a restaurant of this class. Fortunately, the wine was more than excellent.Service was friendly and the bill for two came to 150 EUR including aperitif, wine and mineral water.Good, and a well-worth a visit, but not great.

This was next to our hotel so we really picked it for convenience but were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was friendly & helpful & spoke English. The food was good & nicely presented. It's mostly steak or burgers but there was fish & some veggie options. They also had a nice range of beer & wine. I would eat there again.

This wellknown brasserie, gastro pub is a sure place for correct food and the price/quality ratio is good.Large choice of food, from snacks to whole menus.Service could be improved (in quantity and quality)... with the hot summer weather many many hungry and thirsty guests were attracted by the nice outdoor seating in the pedestrian zone of Clervaux.

We literally stumbled upon this place by chance. After a long day of tromping all over Luxembourg and Belgium looking at WWII sites, we were on our way back to Wiltz. Being vegetarian, I was having a hard time finding somewhere to eat in Wiltz that wasn't a pizza place. I suggested Clervaux as we had been to this town the day before and it seemed like they might have more places to choose from. We landed here with the pleasant surprise of having 2 vegetarian choices listed on the menu!!Although we didn't have reservations, they were able to accommodate us immediately. Our waiter was very kind and patient with our French and our food came out promptly! My husband had a trout that had been caught locally and I had a vegetable souffle that was melt in your mouth delicious. After dinner, the chef (who is also the owner) came out to talk to us. He is the 3rd generation owner of the hotel and restaurant and was very personable and welcoming. In fact - I was sorry that we hadn't booked a stay in the hotel! I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant experience with outstanding service.
