Excellent brasserie near our family's country home. Regularly attend for special occasions. Friendly staff who always greet us and welcome us back. Traditional French cooking styles with a nod to the modern in some dishes. Large portions. Set menu is good value. One thing I tried last time (in photo) is burrata with vanilla, it was like nothing I've tried before. Creamy yet fresh. Delicious! Recently refurbished interiors have livened up the place. Nice little garden outside to dine when the weather is nice. A trusty reliable find in this area.

I can't believe how I was blown away by everything in this place with just one exception we will get to later. The location right at the entrance of this lovely mall is perfect as you have a view of the front of the mall and the giant ducks (yes, giant ducks), the decor is ultramodern, chic, and perfectly clean, the seats and tables are supremely comfortable, and the food is EXCEPTIONAL in every way including (REMEMBER THIS IS PARIS) value! It is not difficult in Paris to get a dinner that costs more than my new laptop so dining value and Paris do not exactly follow. That is why it is so exceptionally surprising to get remarkable value at this restaurant for superlative food. I started with an absolutely exquisite carpaccio of beef with shards of shaved Parmigiano that was completely memorable. That was followed up by a truly scrumptious burger with a side of some delectable ratatouille. Then the dessert was mind-blowing: A profiterole that was much larger than the burger with two scoops of ice cream and a magnificent dark chocolate sauce for dipping. Awesome in every way.Earlier the same day I parked for four hours at Galeries Lafayette and the parking cost more than this entire meal! Talk about incredible value. The exception? I had two servers, and while the second was wonderful, the first spent all of her time chatting with her friends, leaving me alone for nearly half an hour between courses. What makes it really troublesome is that I was THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THE RESTAURANT which seats over 200. What kind of service does she provide when the place is packed? Not good at all. However, if you don't get her as your server, you will have a REMARKABLE dining experience!Bonjour metaungulate,What a pleasure to read your comment, thank you very much for your encouragement! We look forward to your return to France, and we have taken good note of your comments and we are doing everything we can to satisfy you even better.Azeddine, Director Hippopotamus Claye-Souilly

We came for lunch and had a very tasty burger, fresh oysters and good wine. Everything well presented. Friendly service.

The flashing red lights outside and the somewhat shabby external appearance hide a beautiful and stylish little restaurant with excellent a la carte food and a small but good quality wine list. During my three weeks in France, this meal was up there with the best. My wife has salmon, I had duck, and my daughter had beef. All meals were excellent. The potato rosti was fantastic.Unfortunately, this restaurant is a little off the beaten track and probably won't see many tourists.

Despite a warm welcome from convivial hosts, and pretty reasonable prices, we were very underwhelmed by our evening meal on a Saturday night and regretted our choice. Both main courses were served barely warm and I suspect poorly timed from a microwave and the meal barely saved by a decent Alsace Pinot Noir.

Thanks to the Tripadvisor, we bumped into this restaurant on our way from Oaris to Fontainebleau and had lunch there (the place was empty). Weâre not crazy about the interior design, but the food is first-rate and *very* reasonably priced. In Paris, you would walk away from a meal like that leaving at least a hundred per person. Here, much less. Very nice!

Our last night in France was spent near CDG airport and we were looking for a place to have dinner. It was A Monday and we were so lucky to find this little gem tucked in the corner of a little strip mall place. We were greeted by the friendly staff and had a wonderful evening. We both chose from the daily menu. I had the seafood risotto and my husband had the house made Gorgonzola burger. We finished it with a shared Tiramisu that was creamy and boozy! Highly recommend this spot. Very few options on a Monday night in the area. They also do take out pizzas that looked amazing! Not sure if they deliver?
