Un accueil tout sourire qui donne le ton . Les plats sont excellents , frais, pleins de saveurs. Nous avons adoré et passé un très bon moment .Et les tarifs sont très raisonnables au vu de la qualité des produits et le fait maison. A très bientôt .

Situated alongside the newly refurbished rail station, which now serves Nantes as well as Rennes, this restaurant is also just across the road from the castle. Stopped here with my wife for lunch on a Friday in late November and upon receiving a warm welcome shown to a table of our choice. The menu was somewhat limited but eventually we settled for the `menu du jour' at 11.90 euros each for 3 courses including a small carafe of rose wine - a price that appeared to be competitive in that part of townThe service throughout was good - the actual dishes selected consisted of a starter of egg mayonnaise salad, a main of cabillaud (cod) accompanied by potatoes and other vegetables, finishing with a dessert of creme brulee. The food was quite acceptable, although in our opinion not in any way above the norm.The location is ideal, especially with accommodation for an overnight stay and with its proximity to trains, the coach service to Angers and the old town; in addition to their own spaces for guests there is also ample free car parking in the immediate vicinity. On the minus side the bar/restaurant is somewhat utilitarian in appearance and the facilitiues could do with a little updating.

The starter was nothing like the the picture and some of the meats were not fresh. The Muscles and fries were OK but nothing to write home about. The service was slow but the lady was pleasant. Not impressed...

We were sad to see La Croisette close last year but delighted to see it reopened under new management when we returned to Chateaubriant this year. The restaurant has been given a makeover and is lovely. The menu has changed to include a wider range of food including a set menu in the evening for 14 euros. The food and atmosphere are excellent. We would definitely recommend and will be back on our next trip to France in the autumn.

Stayed at the hotel with my wife so we had dinner here rather than go into town. Being a hotel restaurant out of town rather than just a restaurant in town I thought the food was likely to be pretty ordinary - butt it was a lot better than I expected. Prices were acceptable and the wine was reasonable - dinner for the two of us was EUR 56.40 all in.

Friendly welcome awaits at this restaurant, At lunch you have a wide choice from the Buffet ant then a choice between 2 meat, 1 fish or dice of the day, dessert, coffee, and 1/4 of wine all for 12 Euros! and very good quality.

This place was recommended by the people we were staying with. What a lovely little place. The food was really lovely and simply presented but tasted amazing. There are only about 12 tables so you need to get there early when it opens at 7.30, within half an hour they were turning people away that's how popular it is. Three courses and two drinks 37 euros worth every penny and we left a nice tip would definitely eat here again if we were visiting.

Recommended by a local business associate our small party stopped here for a light lunch on a Friday afternoon.Traditional Restaurant located in the Place Saint-Nicholas offering a very wide selection of Galettes and Crepes. Warmly welcomed and shown to our table, the food duly arrived after a short wait (it was peak time and very busy) and we were not disappointed as all of the dishes were very well prepared and delicious. We also tried the Cidre Artisanal in the special cups which really complemented the meal.Well worth a stopover when visiting Chateaubriant but suggest to arrive in good time as it does appear to be very popular.

This will be our second visit to this establishment on the birthday of my father in-law Saturday 14th february 2015 and what a fantastic time we all had( a party of 8 people). This establishment is very popular due to it;s very warm and positive atmosphere, excellent decor and the staff are excellent and professional and extremy; attentive to there guests.The menu was delightful with a selection of 4 different starters, main courses and desserts, especially done for Valentines day.M Christina has an excellent stoch of fine wines and digestives to temp any taste buds, overall the food is of high quality, cooked to perfection and very mouth watering.I would recommend if you are in Chateaubriant then you must visit this restaurant you will not be disappointed.Thank you to all the staff for making this occasassion fantastic and the birthday cake fireworks also it was a nice surprise.A big Merci.
