As we were in the area visiting friends we stayed at this hotel and ate for two evenings in this restaurant, The menu was limited but what was served was tasty and interesting. It was the end of season so were were the only guests, but the service was nonetheless very good.The hotel was clean and the beds very comfortable, the breakfast, which was charged at 9 Euros per person included home made granola and apricot muffins

We were cycling from Moliets and couldn't find a restaurant we fancied (it was nearly all Pizzerias in Leon centre) when Barbara spotted the sign for a Ferme Auberge. It was at least 2kms from Leon but boy was it worth it. In a past life I ran a chain of French Brasseries in London so I really do know that the food was both excellent quality and value. They breed their own ducks, make their own foie gras, need I say more? We're thinking of a revisit as I have to try the confit....

J'ai déjà donné mon opinion pour cet établissement dans la catégorie Hôtel. Super rapport qualité/prix. Produits frais et locaux. Cuisine traditionnelle. Magrets, confits, escalope panée, faux-filets...Mention spéciale aux patates soufflées à la place des inévitables frites.

The pros : very good service, not too formal despite being a classical restaurant. Very good food with well priced menus. Excellent wine recommendation by the sommelier. The cons : we would have appreciated a better presentation/explanation of the dishes and their preparation when they were served. While wine service was very good service, water wasn't refilled regularly.

If your choice is a modern hotel with everything matching and clinical, with distant staff, this is not for you. We found the eccentricities charmingly French, the hosts very pleasant and helpful, and the food, especially the evening meals very good, and all at a very reasonable price. We would stay here again.

Prices are exceptionally good for France. You get a nice buffet and a good choice of dishes that are well prepared.For less than 14 Euro you get a 3 course meal, 1/4 wine included. Staff speaks English and the menues are available in Frensh, English, Portuguese ans Spanish. Easy parking available. Extra wine costs 3 Euro / litre. Portions are average to large.

we had a wonderful lunch here in Sept we sat outside in the warm sun very good service even though they were very busy and of course the excellent set menu looking forward to next year when we are in France again.

We found this charming restaurant by chance read the reviews on Trip Adviser and had two wonderful evenings there if you like duck its divine very friendly and helpfulowner Bernadette cannot wait to return next year.

Visted 3 times in 2 weeks. Friendly greeting by head waiter. Mussels very nice with heaps of chips. Duck mixed grill nice but a bit overcooked. Beer and wine reasonably priced.Not the best toilets and maybe overall a bit pricey but...All in all a nice experience in a lovely building right next to the lake. Thank you for an enjoyable series of visits.
