I went twice to this restaurant in one year time and got the feeling that the relatively young people owning that restaurant are really eager to progress in their domain. They improved the place by re-decorating and making the place more pleasant.Service remains good and very kind but the most important is that the food quality and presentation has very well improved in one year without influence on the price. This restaurant remains very affordable and you will get very decent food in your plate. Please keep going and congratulations for all the improvement

I had discovered this charming restaurant in July 2017, as it had opened just a few days earlier. My lunch had already been excellent. This yearâs experience proved equally enjoyable, and lâEffet Mer is now one of my favourites in Carnac. Congrats to the smiling and friendly staff. Furthermore, the owner lady took time to greet all guests and have a short chat with them - much appreciated gesture. Two three-course-menus were offered. I chose the one costing â¬27.90 - cheaper in price, but definitely not in quality! As starter I chose the tuna tartar - fresh and tasty, perfect on a warm sunny day. As main course I had the hake fillet - tasty and generous portion, fish was very fresh. I ended my lunch with a regional dessert: âfar bretonâ (clafoutis-like cake filled with prunes). Delicious portion. Despite visiting during summer peak season, the bill remained pleasantly moderate. Excellent value for money.

Thank you to all the staff at La Brigantine. We had a wonderful evening. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was gorgeous. Traditional, the best on offer and delicious. We (parents) delighted to eat some fabulous seafood. 3 kids happy to eat what they got (it doesnât serve kids food). Plus puddings as big as their heads! We walked home happy!

A very busy restaurant for Saturday lunch with an interesting menu, staff energy and delcicious food. My husband had the Vegan Salad, maybe the best he has had in France on this trip - with lots of lettuce, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, nuts and awesome dressing. I had salmon, perfectly cooked, over a bed of mashed potatoes and pesto sauce - interesting combination. While the restaurant was very busy, the staff did not miss a beat. Beautiful decor with a wall with a variety of plants growing in a unique decor. Thank you for a delicious and special lunch.

All the food was just delicious. And that given that I've had no idea what I was ordering. They don't have an English menu, and the waiters almost don't speak English, so I decided to make a blind choice. Still, everything was perfect. The only downside is a very slow service. When I just arrived there at 8.30pm, the restaurant was almost empty and the service was quite prompt. But later, as people started to arrive, it became obvious that two waiters that they have was severely not enough, and service became painstakingly slow. And mind you, the restaurant was still half-empty. This made me understand why the day before they told me that they are very busy and can't have me, even though they were half-empty as well.

Service was excellent as was the food. This was our second visit to this delightful venue. Since our last visit, the restaurant has added a wooden terrace. It's off the beaten track but well worth making the effort to find. We sat on the terrace as we had our dogs with us and, although it was windy, the glass railings provided shelter. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully appointed and gives a fine dining experience. It's immaculate. The owners are a young couple and are enthusiastic and very friendly. We had a seafood platter which was copious and beautifully presented.

The food was delicious,The staff were friendly, the building is amazing. I highly recommend this beautiful crêperie. It is only 200m from the hotel we stayed in. However watch out for the fish eggs in the l'oriental Breton sushi type thing.

Restaurant creperie, pancakes are prep ared in the big Brittany traditions. We propose house Burgers quality with bread of the master bakerand steak Angus 165g. All this served in a charmingly vintage and authentic frame(executive).
Small restaurant but great service and delicious cuisine. Burgers or crepes, so no haute cuisine here, but really good food! You have to try the ice-cream, they have a fantastic artisanal supplier. Super friendly waitresses, thinking how to serve us even better as she was looking for an alternative drink to suit my wife. On top of that a very competitive pricing. Nothing negative to mention. Just donât forget to reserve .

Vente au détails et dégustation sur place bordée par l'océanâ¦Huîtres, crevettes, palourdes, bulots et rillettes de poisson. En plus, à emporter homards bretons et tourteaux vivants.
We are definitely oyster lovers and have eaten them in many places on different continents and can only admit that these served by Serge Cochennec and his family were top.For a price that in a restaurant would maybe get you 4 oysters, you get a serving of 9 with some bread (not the most fresh but who cares?) and a small glass of wine. Yes, the glass is small but in a typically French way, the bottle is half way anyway and left on the table. The owner and family are most friendly and clearly enjoy being complimented but rightfully so. These oysters are simply top and so are the palourdes.I do not usually exaggerate but if you did not stop here while in Carnac, you missed something.
