Guillaume's cooking lifts this restaurant but you have to book as it's quite small and the hotel guests obviously enjoy eating here.Adventurous menu leaves choices for everyone and the desserts are a triumph. Good wine list (not too expensive) and relaxed, friendly service make this a must.Stay at the hotel if you can. It's wonderful...

We had better luck than previous reviewer - we also went to this place on Sunday, September 9 and it was open. We travel a lot in Europe and know that on Saturday and Sunday it is essential to make a reservation. If previous reviewer tried to call to reserve - it would save him a trip for nothing. This is a very good place, warm, beautiful rural setting, delicious and hearty meal, good value for money. Hearty, friendly welcome and trouble free service.. This place is authentic, the meal begins with the delicious soup and hearty salad that follows, well seasoned with walnut oil and walnuts from their garden and Perigord foie gras pâté, complete with duck breast with potatoes - divinely cooked. Desserts naturally walnut's cake with homemade ice cream, just as delicious. Cheese is well stocked and well presented on beautiful fig leavesThis address is a great value for the quality of the meals and very welcome service. Please note that they don't accept credit cards

Great )maybe) only place locally to get on the internet and have a beer at the same time. The landlord is a very friendly and helpful bloke. Great choice of beers. We had a crepe one night which was ok--lot of choice--not my favourite food but it's a very jolly atmosphere.

This place used to have a poor reputation: bad food, slow and surly service. But it is now under new ownership/management. Four of us (all living locally) went to try it out. What a change! The welcome was warm, the service fast and the gallettes delicious. Three of us had a pleasant cider; one of us had a poor rose wine (no white available). The desserts were good too. All in all, great value at 15⬠a head.

There's nothing better than sitting out on the terrace, in the warm evening sunshine, sipping a prosecco, leisurely studying and extensive and interesting menu, and anticipating the delights that are to follow!.The staff were friendly and welcoming, there never appears to be any rush, but service is attentive and food delivery prompt, with hot meals arriving hot, well cooked and presented.A thoroughly enjoyable place to visit for a relaced evening out.
A bistro styled outdoor terraced restaurant serving a selection of European and french dishes in the relaxing and tranquil environment overlooking the river Dordogne. The 'carte' includes a selection of good wines and vegetarian and gluten free dishes.
Lovely little hotel with restaurant. We didnât stay in the hotel but had a meal there. Advise to book as it was busy. Small menu but food was excellent with a good selection of wines. The atmosphere was relaxed and very friendly The owners speak French and English. A very enjoyable evening well worth a visit xMany thanks for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed your visit. We were busy tonight. One of the busiest days we've had all year! Reservations always help us ensure we plan when people arrive so agree and again hope you and others enjoyed themselves. By chance did someone leave a black cardigan behind? If so we have it safely stored

My wife and I ate here twice during a five day stay in Carennac. Once for lunch where our croques monsieurs and salad were excellent, and once for dinner where we enjoyed tasty steak, pork ribs, salad and baked potatoes. For dinner we sat at one of the three tables on the terasse with a gorgeous view over the river Dordogne. The proprietors made us feel welcome and the service was efficient. We would be very happy to return.
