We were enjoying a fab holiday care of Brittany Ferries in a nearby holiday cottage. We had already decided to visit this establishment based on reviews and the recommendation of the owner of our holiday cottage. Yes you have to book (needed a weeks notice for lunch and no availability in the evening!) but by golly it was worth it. This place is beautifully located overlooking a fabulous beach. It serves up a lovely and genuine French experience and superb food with service to match. An outstanding offering and very reasonable prices. We had 3 courses with wine and drinks at c â¬140. Fantastic value. We were at the restaurant for 2 and a half hours and it was pure pleasure.

A true gem hidden in this quiet corner of Finistere. Chef patron.Xavier, has always been enthusiastic about his food and has given us a very warm welcome. This is our favourite restaurant in Brittany and would recommend it with confidence.

We visited for an early-evening meal with our little boy and had a fantastic experience all-round.Worth noting- the opening hours published on TripAdvisor, Google etc. are not necessarily accurate- their opening hours are generally longer than advertised, but I understand there's a certain fluidity depending on how busy they are.The service was fantastic, really friendly, and very accommodating for children, despite having quite a grown-up feel to the restaurant overall.Menu for "main" meals isn't overwhelmingly extensive, and you can tell that this is a good thing as the handful of house and regional specialities are brilliantly well executed.Slight caution- some of the dishes have names that are more Breton than French, which can make translations more of a challenge. The brilliant staff are more than happy to explain though!

Ate hear twice on recent visit. French Food done really simply & well. Nothing too pretentious, just excellent cooking and efficient service. Simple restaurant, nothing too fancy. Was busy on both occasions we were there. We tried a few places around the immediate area and this was the best! Excellent value also.

It was Monday and the main Micheline starred restaurant was closed and my disappointment was rescued by the amazing culinary delight we had in this bistro. The started of Fois Gras and eggs was just phenomenal and i ordered the traditional beef begeneon whcih was made to perfetion. The french red wines they offered were rather avaerage but the only nice bottle they offered was an Argentinian Malbec !In any case i was very happy we dined here and enjoyed every single bit of it.

We had high hopes for this creperie and were disappointed by the manager. She was very rude to us for being early for our reservation by 20 minutes (while being nice to walk in customers) almost refusing to seat us when we showed upeven though the table was ready! She made us feel so unwelcome from the start it ruined the food entirely. Worse yet- She actually hid the candy dish from our kids even though they had all only had one piece. The waiter was great and nice. It was just her. She ruined the lunch for everyone. We wont come back.

I have been 3 times to la Bute for dinner in the last 9 months, both as a couple and a larger family group. The food is technically excellent with imaginative re-interpetations of traditional breton recipes and local products. However do not expect good service if you are not seen as local. In fact although I have a common English surname I have had a home in the area for many years. On each occasion I booked in advance (as much as 2 weeks) and requested a window table for the special occasion - birthdays and wedding anniversary respectively - only to shown to a back corner table near the service area. When I complained on the second occasion we were shown to a table with a view of the bay, one of the restaurants selling points. But it puts a dampener on an evening if one has to complain at the outset. There were plenty of tables both for couples and families available in the window area on each occasion. As noted by others the staff are inexperienced and make too many basic mistakes - a big play on serving very good speciality butters, but then omitting to serve any bread; forgetting to allow the red wine to breath and to serve it on time with the main course. The practice of paying the bill at reception at the end of the meal should be discontinued. The host does not want all their guests to know how much the meal has cost.Having spent the best part of 1,000 euros in this establishment I will not be returning any time soon.

We were staying in the hotel and decided to treat ourselves with our friends and try the hotel's restaurant. The restaurant room is very nice and the dishes are nice and tasty. Service made our experience not so enjoyable. Let me tell you the story: there was a summer employee who was a bit clumsy, that would have been ok if what appeared to be the 2 'professional 'waiters made her cry directly in the restaurant room. (especially as the guys were not irreproachable themselves) it made us feel uncomfortable. you don't want that from a restaurant that tries to reach top end.

Spécialités de poissons et fruits de mer. Maître restaurateur. Vue panoramique sur la baie de Brignogan. Service continu avec une carte de crêpes de 14H à 18h30 .
We wanted to go to a good seafood restaurant and this was close by and recommended. My wife and I had a shared Fruits de Mare platter which was gigantic and had loads of seafood including oysters, crab claw, langoustines, prawns, clams, winkles, etc. Served with warm fresh bread. My daughter went for meat and they were very agreeable to making a few tweaks to suit her taste. The service was charming. The waiter spoke little English but the waitress was able to fill in the gaps in my French vocabulary. Our table was by the window with the most stunning view of the bay as the tide receded and the sun set. They had a limited childrenâs menu but this is really a restaurant for adults.
