We were slightly concerned that this was a fully-operating casino with a restaurant attached rather than a restaurant with some slot machines. It was also a Sunday evening, never the best night for a meal out in France and we arrived late. (2030 hours)However, we need not have worried as Sandra and colleague looked after us and the â¬23 set three-course menu was excellent in terms of food quality and value. The blue cheese and lardon starter was a meal in itself and the bavette was one of the best we have tasted. Add on two 50cl chilled pichets of rose and red wines and some chilled water and the whole experience looking out over the lake was more than we could have anticipated.

This is an amusement park and restaurant located on the banks of a river with rowboats you can rent. The riverside dance floor with its accordion music makes you feel like you're back in a turn-of-the-century Renoir painting. My kids loved the rides (basic stuff like bumper cars) and the restaurant serves the best

We used to eat here fairly often but after a couple of plates of over-seasoned food we stopped going. A recent visit to give it another chance proved successful and the food was much improved. There's a menu-du-jour for about 13 euros and a good selection of a la carte dishes. I had the frog's legs in garlic butter, which were excellent, and a very tender bavette steak in a shallot sauce, cooked exactly as I asked. An inexpensive 50cl jug of wine is available if you don't want to splash out on a full bottle. Service was pleasant and attentive. On our lunchtime visit it was well patronised. Good parking outside, and right next to a supermarket so you can eat after shopping. Lakeside location is attractive though the building itself is modern and of no great distinction.Thank you for your comment. See you soon in our establishment

While visiting a local business, we came for lunch. Since we were a mid-sized group they seating us in the back room. A trip to the small buffet was our starter & we were offered 3 mains. I had the entrecôte (steak) & it was cooked properly & quite tasty. A fowl dish was also well received.

Monday evening is difficult to find an open restaurant. Our hotel recommended this one, especially the escargot boeuf. We were not disappointed. Ignored the bar and keep going. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The food was really tasty and good value for money.

Situated within the splendid belle epoche Grand Hotel in the quartier thermale (spa district) about 7 minutes on foot from the centre of town. Plentiful parking on site, but poor disabled access, 3 steps up to front door, 3 more steps to the lift to the 1st-floor restaurant. The lunchtime service has just been re-launched as a 'Bistrot' with a 2-course menu including a plat-du-jour for 14 euros. We arrived without reservations and were warmly welcomed. Service was polite and attentive, if a little slow. The food was excellent. The 2 of us went a la carte (choice of about 4 items for each course), starters being in our case a home-smoked salmon salad, and snails, bacon and mushrooms in puff pastry. For main course an andouillette (chitterling sausage), and a 'piece du boucher' (which turned out to be a bavette - flank steak), both served with the weirdly named 'pommes des terre pont neuf' which were actually home-made chips, and rather good. We skipped cheese and desert and finished with coffee. Including a half-bottle of wine and two aperitifs the bill came to a shade under 80 euros for 2. We would happily go again.

A happy atmosphere at this restaurant when we arrived on a Friday lunchtime. I enjoyed a fantastic salad with a range of charcuterie and then pork ribs, while my companion had oeufs meurette in a sauce including snails and gizzards. Perfect cheese to finish for me, while he enjoyed an Ile flottante.

This is my 3rd or 4th time eating lunch here over 20 years. While not as good as remembered, it was still very decent. We ate outdoors in the sunshine.Thank you for your message. We hope to see you again soon in our beautiful neighborhood. Our ambition is to know you extremely satisfied.
