This restaurant is worth a visit just to experience the deep blue lighting and the video-created pseudo tanks of colorful fish swimming around. But anglophiles will particularly enjoy the superb rack of lamb embellished with real mint sauce, and the Tournedos Rossini, a favorite in London during the 1960s. But instead of the classic one large cube of fillet mignon, there are two pieces of steak on the plate both loaded with delicious pate. My dining companions also enjoyed the branzino. The wine list is extensive, with bottles lining one wall. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgable, and the prices what one would expect for the quality of the food.

We had lunch and it was nice, not great, but enjoyable. Food could have been hotter. Service was good and everything arrived in a timely manner. Onion soup was particularly good.

Quaint Cafe in a historic house in Downtown Bonita Springs. Fusion French-American Fresh ingredients, some organic, great coffee, and fabulous chef! Hours monday-Sunday 8-2:30 . Dinners on Friday and Saturday Jan-April from 5-8:00. Pet friendly.
Friend and I had a wonderful Old Bonita Springs touring day. This area is really coming together and worthwhile. It takes one back to your Grandmotherâs Florida. Though a short drive away from current busy civilization, it feels miles away. The Survey Cafe is named after the old town and is in a 1940âs home. Thereâs an enclosed porch and outside deck with umbrella. Outside was actually quite pleasant on a 90 degree day. Friend had a BLT and I chose baked egg (delicious custard taste) and cheddar cheese on a croissant. Croissant (fresh and tasty) adds $1.50 to cost of egg sandwich. Pretty much self serve. Tastes like tap water in their plastic urn (water filter would help). Nice place to eat in context of Old Florida Day with girlfriends. However, little pricey and would not be enough food for the Husbands. Definitely a Girl Kind of Place.

Cuisine Provencal From South Of France
Chef James Waller is, in my opinion, the absolute best chef in Naples! We were blown away by the quality and preparation of everything except the bread (which should be changed to a chewy, rustic bread instead of boring, tasteless cardboard) and the pastry puff of the profiteroles, but in the end, with lots of melted Belgian dark chocolate, who cares? However, the seafood soup, the salmon carpaccio, the roasted crispy duck, the seafood risotto, and the sabayon were expertly prepared, attractively plated, and professionally served. I had requested a corner table and, amazingly, it was held for us, although the restaurant was packed. Also, the attentive wait staff was there when you wanted them but did not hover. I asked where Chef Waller had been trained, and was told that he studied at the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in SFO. I later read an article about him in Food & Beverage International Magazine, and found that he had prepared State Banquets for several presidents, including Nixon, Ford, Bush, and Clinton, and also for Kissinger, as well as serving stints as Executive Chef in top restaurants. I was not surprised. We are privileged to have Chef Waller here in Naples. Cote D'Azur should be a destination for all Floridians and visitors!
