We have been to this resturant (within the Khemera 1 hotel) many times over the past year and it has never failed to disappoint.A comprehensive menu of Khmer, Thai, Chinese and western food is offered throughout the day. If you plan to eat Asian, its best to go in bigger groups as their portions are huge.One of the best pizzas in Battambang is available here too.

Went here last night on strength of other reviews expecting something special. What a huge letdown! Restaurant looks tired. Owner Patrice breezed in briefly but was not seen again. Waited 1 hour for our meal. Pork loin with Three Different Sauces consisted a few overcooked pieces of pork and three little glasses of pale cream stuff all tasting the same, plus a few strands of raw cabbage. Khmer Mystery dessert was best part of meal. The food of fellow diners also seemed nothing like the 'superb cuisine' we'd read about. Suggest you give it a miss!

Was in need of a beef fix so headed over to KCâs as they had good reviews. The place was deserted but the food arrived swiftly and looked good. The chips and coke were fine but I really didnât like the burger. It tasted more like veal than beef and part of it was completely uncooked in the middle. That might be the style here but for me it was nasty. Dear Mr Pickle in Wimbledon,Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to heard your bad experience about meat.We always serve Beef patty 100% beef and well-done Burger, Usually it is not uncooked in the middle... It is probably a cooking mistake, I will speak about it with the Chef.We apologize for the mistake and the inconvenience.I hope you'll come again to taste our food to keep a better experience about our burger.

in relative terms this is quite an expensive restaurant, but for a Western European, this still represents superb value, as the food was of a very high standard. The beef fillet was extremely tender and seasoned to perfection. The vegetables were beautifully steamed and we had a very scrummy dessert of flambeed bananas in honey and rum.The setting on the terrace is lovely and the whole ambiance is relaxed but quite classy without being pretentious.As we walked through the restaurant you could see into the kitchen and all the kitchen staff greeted us and said goodnight as we left. I don't agree with the other reviewers who said the service was ineffective. Of course it depends on who you have when you go, but all the staff were lovely and efficient. We would certainly go again.

We stopped in for late breakfast. Positives: friendly owner, tasty food, clean restaurantNegatives: unimaginative presentation and servings. I had a good ham/cheese omelet that came only with 2 pc white bread toast. Had to ask for jam and butter. I think it was 5 or $5.50Partner had ham and cheese crepe and reports good flavor but again just crepe on plate. No garnish or sauce, visually bland. This and 1 fresh OJ and pineapple shake $15. Easy to find better value elsewhereIf you make a review on Tripadvisor, you have to be precise. You came mid august and ordered firstà B8 Ham+Onion+Cheese omelette served with toasts for the price of 4$ not 5.5$ like you said. If you ask for extrasyou said you wanted jam and butter , you should pay for it and in your case it has been given for , lucky you! We donât serveAméricain breakfast , we are a Breton Crêperie.You husband had â just a Crêpeâ! which is made from imported Buckwheat flower, cooked with imported butter, and filled with imported Emmental Cheese.It is the way it should be served! again no extra because it is what you had chosen! all the prices are outside on the board for no bad surprises. If you want tocompare our food , You can find another Crêperie in Siem reap, but am afraid they use similar prices.RegardsMichel

The Bambu restaurant is a little restaurant not far from the river in Battambang. The location is elegant, the personnel very kind and professional, the food we had was tasty and carefully served. From a place like this you could expect high prices but, au contraire, the prices are reasonable. Absolutely worthy a visit. Last, but not least, there is a good wines list and a wide choice of the best European spirits, also these incredibly NOT expensive (for a foreigner, of course!). I sincerely recommend to go to Bambu!!

This place is in a lovely old French colonial building in a beautiful setting. It isn't airconditioned (is anything in Battambang?) but cooled down ok with the fan, which we had requested due to the heat and mosquitoes. We ordered spring rolls, the chicken breast with bacon and mashed potatoes, the beef salad and Khmer beef curry. That and a couple of cocktails brought the tab to $36. The food was good but it wasn't presented that attractively, which was a disappointment and the reason for the 4-star rating. We normally take pictures of our food, especially at finer restaurants, but nothing we ordered was really laid out as nicely as it should have been. In any case, everything tasted fine and it was a good meal. Staff was friendly and the foreign manager stopped by our table for a couple of minutes to chat with us. Might return here next time we're in town, but it probably wouldn't be my top pick. It's a little out of the way, so you'll need a tuk-tuk to get here.

We decided to return to Cambodia for a short break and we also decided to return to This tiny but very good restaurant, again we started with the cheese plate ( this must be the best in Cambodia) Lesley then had a mango salad and I had the the fish Khmer Curry, I know this is a repeat of our earlier visit but the food was yet again first class, we will be passing through Battambang in 2 days time on our way back home in Thailand and we will visit the restaurant again only this time we are going to try something completely different. Great service and a great smile from the staff and owners it is one great little restaurant.Thanks you for your visiting again, I'm so happy to see you guys coming back again and sorry for some a little mistake on your return but we will do better service for on your another return.thanks you very much
