My wife and I stopped for a quick pizza and beer and to refresh ourselves after visiting the carnival in town in July, 2019. The restaurant is at the top of the hill and we were able to sit in the shade and catch some of the breeze as it crossed the patio. The pizza was very good (4 cheeses) with a thin crust. More than enough for the 2 of us to share. Service was friendly and the waiter spoke english. The beer was cold and refreshing. Barjac is a great little town with several restaurants. If you just want a quick refreshing stop-Le Bistrot Des Amis is a good choice.

Walked past this place on our way to lunch and made a mental note to stop there after. It is a lovely place that has a tea room / ice cream in the back (depending on what entrance you come through) and gift shop in the front. The ice cream we had was lovely, and the whole family agreed this was the best ice cream we had on this holiday. It is not cheap at 4,50 euros for two flavours or 7,50 for a coupe, but well worth the treat. It is a shame they were so difficult about touching stuff in the shop. The kids loved to have a browse before the pudding was served, but the shopkeeper was very insistent on not touching anything. Have deducted one star for that.

Nature et Thé offers regional, organic, homemade, vegetarian, vegan cuisine with also meats of origin France. The kitchen is open all day for non-stop service, but you can also refresh yourself with homemade pastries, ice creams and organic drinks.
Some friends that stayed at the same hotel advised about this place so we went for lunch as we do like try local cuisine and vegetarian too. I do like the place as is located in a very good point and pedestrian too so no cars around. The food was nice, i can't say excellent. We did enjoy our lunch and the salad were nice and fresh. The menu is limited and the waitress didn't give a big explanation about it, also we were very basic on french language however it was good and i will recommend for a nice lunch and break.

We were visiting Barjac for the first time and the restaurant didn't disappoint. The menu had a good variety of choices and wine. The steaks, the fish and salad were really good quality. The head waitress made good recommendations for wine too. The ambience was suitable for business discussions. Overall the pricing was reasonable.

The Carré des Saveurs, is a delicious invitation to discover a cuisine of freshness inspired by the products of terroir and season. The Carré de Saveurs also is a square garden full of aromatic plants; freshly picked they help to create all the dishes con
Only 3 years open but top, top, top class. We had an excellent diner at a very reasonable price. First class service. Try the foie gras....and you will understand why we definitely will return.

The opinion of the Lonely Planet on LE DIABLOTIN GOURMND A small village restaurant at the foot of the tower of the notary in the stone alleyways of Barjac. Here you can eat at any time of a conventional meal, a snack or a gelato from a ardéchois craftsma
Average at best, and pretty poor at worst. Service was friendly but haphazard, the child's ham and chips was poor and the fondant maron was uncooked and inedible. The duck was ok, if a little dry, and the lamb curry was fine. The chicken targine was surprising bland. This would just about be average without the dreadful fondant and poor child's meal, but it took an hour to get the bill and pay which serious it to apoor and very missable experience for any gourmand.

The place has uncomfortable seags in a cavelike area which has nice ambiente. The portions were so small that we both complained and were offered a second serving. The main course was barely the size of a starter. They force you to eat an overpriced 3 course menu only to get full, a total rip off.

This restaurant was recommended to us by locals. The menu offered something for everyone. Traditional French food which was enjoyable. The views are incredible. The stars and moon were amazing. The service was so friendly and we were made to feel very welcomed. Thank you.

We were recommended the restaurant and booked a table for our family. The maitre d' indicated on the phone a wish that we should be there on time. We were unfortunately 5 minutes late and without a mobile signal to inform the restaurant. However, on arrival although we were suitably apologetic but he'd already given away our table, with no other availability. We were of course 'bang to rights'... he had requested us to be there at 8.30pm. But for him to have given our table up in what must have been 4 minutes, as the people were already seated at our table and looking at the menu, is surely ludicrous in most people's view.It might have been acceptable if he'd dealt with this in a friendly, sympathetic manner. Instead, an overt, loud and gauche indication of his distain for tardiness across the heads of diners eating al fresco silenced all of the seated customers, who mostly looked on with disbelief.A gallic shrug is one thing, but insulting and dismissive attitude to customers is quite another.
