Traditional restaurant, home cooking, fresh produce, market menu. Menus available in English and Chinese.
After reading a lot of Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to give this place a try on our last night in Epernay. We sat outside, in a forlorn looking patio behind the restaurant - really down at the heels. Dead plants, weeds, bird droppings, you get the picture. I kept thinking they could make it look so much nicer with little effort, but maybe they have no interest or need. There were several locals outside, too, not just tourists. It was a warm night, so inside with the oven wouldn't have been a good choice.Anyway, service was friendly and prompt (with iPad menu + pics in English, French and Chinese). Food was okay but nothing special but nothing wrong either. DH had one of their potato specialties - which he enjoyed. I had duck breast and green beans. Bottle of Macon Villages (very tasty and went well with the food), large bottle of Perrier. 65 Euros.

Recently awarded 1 Michelin star fine-dining restaurant at the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa. Chef Jean-Denis Rieubland personally interprets the Champagne terroir, highlighting the products of the region and infusing in them a sunny freshnessâhis signature
Very welcoming with excellent service , enjoyed everything about this wonderful restaurant. Maybe to much booze with the pairing menu but we were not made to feel uncomfortable by not ordering the pairing menu and instead going for our own choices. Highly recommend. Dear cisparkle, Thank you so much for your recommendation. It is a pleasure for us to read that you enjoyed "everything about this wonderful restaurant".We are looking forward to welcoming you again!

Called into this busy restaurant late on a Friday and they kept us a table for 9pm. The set menu for about 23 euros was superb. An excellent Pouilly Fumé was recommended to go with it. The service was helpful and friendly. Such a lovely and good value place.

Our lunch was extremely good, with generous portions. There are set menus or one can go off piste. Service and ambiance are very good, with professional service in a modern setting. The wine list is fantastic and had several independent small growers we wanted to try.

we didn't make a reservation before getting to Epernay, but luckily were able to get in on a Sunday night before we left town. while the staff wasn't super fluent in English, and i'm not the best French speaking tourist, we managed to get through it, and even get some recommendations on wines. the food really is 5 star! beautiful presentations and flavors. i had a wonderful fish main and an inventive zucchini and crab starter. a great place for a bit of a dressy date night while your in Epernay, and it was an easy walk to our B&B on the Ave de Champagne.

Great little spot to pick up delicious picnic supplies. Service was friendly, prompt, and kindly willing to communicate in English. We had a smoked salmon sandwich and a veggie quiche with salad. This wasn't french gourmet cooking but it was a very satisfying lunch and definitely worth a stop if you need something quick, fresh, and yummy.

This was an amazing find. The menu is interesting, the service is first class and the food superb. We were met with the most genuinely warm welcome and the unfussy but efficient service meant we were able to enjoy some of the many dishes that are cooked on the oven fire in the restaurant. A thoroughly excellent experience. We'll be back - try and stop us!

Called on spec for lunch, had to wait 30 mins but well worth it. Service was good, staff very friendly and helpful. We had two courses for â¬21 (â¬26 for 3 ) and a bottle of wine.Beautifully presented and tasted amazing. We were given amuse bouche which tasted like smoked chicken pate on French toast, we all thought it was gorgeous, we could have eaten more.We were too full for dessert, but I reckon weâll be back again to try some

You would almost miss this restaurant walking or driving by, hidden as it is away from the street, behind a tall stone wall. But walking through the portal, you arrive in a lovely setting in the courtyard garden (also inside seating). Warm, friendly service. We arrived about 20 min early for our reservation (our private Champagne tasting was quicker than we thought). Although they were not yet open, Madame let us take our choice of seats in the garden, brought us our wine and water right away and even brought us books on Champagne and the area to look at while we were waiting. (The staff was eating lunch outside when we got there, so it was clear the kitchen wasn't open for business yet.)Prompt order taking and food delivery. We had: Magret de canard (perfectly cooked med. rare) with potatoes and salad; Entrecote with frites - large and tender; bottle of Cotes de Provence rose (very good) and large Perrier. Total bill: 68.50 Euros - which, for Champagne, is a good price for the portion size and quality. They also have a wonderful Champagne selection, but we'd done so much tasting, we took at break at lunch with still wine LOL.
