We enjoyed our time with Isabelle and Sebastian. They were very attentive and took the best care of us! The dinners here were delicious and the Polynesian show and buffet was the best we had on our trip ( we went to another island also). The lunch service was sub par compared to the evening! We only ate lunch once or twice there. The chef should be commended.

The place is quite basic and more snack place than restaurant but thats absolutley alright for Rangiroa. We came there in the evening after days of eating fish on the remote Tuamotus only. The very friendly and original owner cooked two perfect steaks for us in a very gernerous size. Don't get me wrong: for sure not the best meat you will eat in your life but you are on the Tuamotus and not in Argentina. The meat gets the job done and the sides of crispy fries and very peppery cream sauce made a delicous meal for us. Sadly no salad was available due to the ever complicated logistical situation an the atolls. The homemade tarte was well done with the very limited resources on the island and very innovative with very fresh coconut (of course...) and apple compot.Prices where the most affordable ones we saw on the islands. Obelix tries his best to communicate with you also without French language knowledge and was probably the friendliest non polynesian in French Polynesia we met.We where very satisfied after our dinner and would sure go there again if we ever make it back to Rangiroa.

Enjoy local dishes such as raw fish, tartar, sashimi ... all cooked with fresh fish. We cook mainly tuna touge for the pleasure of your taste buds. We also offer meats such as steak, duck breast and chicken. Our little extras and for your pleasure, we off
My husband and I ventured outside of our hotel Kia Ora for dinner here. The restaurant owners arranged transportation there and back. We had a cute table on the beach that was very romantic. We enjoyed wine, a coconut crab, and fried fish with salad. The food was wonderful. The ambience was lovely. It was nice to get out of the resort for a bit and have such a great evening. We speak very little French and they were very kind to us. If we can get back to Rangiroa, we will definitely be back for the coconut crab and the âfoie gras of the Pacific!â

This was slightly pricier than some other places we ate in Rangiroa but definitely worth it. The settin by the sea is lovely and as it wasn't very busy it was peaceful and relaxing. Food was terrific and we ate here twice, trying fresh tuna, mani mani and burgers, all of which were great. Coffee was good too.Service was friendly too. I'd definitely return. In fact I'd be tempted to stay there if I go back to Rangiroa although he rooms look quite pricey.

I've been to Chez Auguste at least 10 times. Their poisson cru is excellent. So is the chow-mein. It is located in the heart of Avatoru, so getting there may be difficult if you are near Ohotu. It is well worth going for a change of place from your hotel or pension
