We spent a week travelling through France and we had the most delicious meal of our visit in this unpretentious and charming auberge. We were made very welcome (including our dog). Every course of our meal was exceptional and the ambience was warm and friendly. I cannot praise it highly enough.

We were staying at the Ibis near by and wanted to find a restaurant that we could walk to. We settled on Le Comptoir du Malt as we thought it was a craft brewery / restaurant, so we were a little disappointed that it turned out to be a chain similar to Harvester. But we neednât have worried, the food was really good, authentic and simple French grub. I had the Ham Joint braised in Beer and the Tarte Tatin. I would recommend them both. The service was friendly, if a little slow. But over all it was a good experience.

Whilst staying close to Abbeville, we decided to visit the place on a Sunday lunchtime, only to be disappointed that almost everything in the town centre was closed. As we were leaving, we spotted this restaurant on a roundabout on the edge of town. Don't be put off by the location, it was great! The food (mostly seafood themed unsurprisingly) was delicious and the personal service from the owner was excellent - even though we showed up minutes before lunchtime last orders - we weren't rushed out afterwards either.

Read the other reviews and had to go here. Wasn't disappointed. 3 courses, selection of cheeses and a drink - beer, wine or soft drink for EUR14.50. Good home style cooking and a large selection. The service is good and even though little English is spoken the waiters and waitresses tried hard to help us translate the meals into English. Don't be put off by the outside of the place and the number of trucks parked outside. Will definitely be back if we are passing through the area. Even open on Mondays when the rest of Abbeville is closed down for the day.

En route for Calais our Coach Driver stopped for lunch in Abbeville. A local Charcuterie recommended this restaurant as the place to have an excellent lunch. Certainly a great find, 3 courses for 13Euro. Certainly nowhere in the UK I know could match this
Had the 26 Euro menu (big treat!). All very tasty, with an added little treat brought both just before the meal and before the pudding. Glad I was not in a hurry (though I'm sure if I'd been really pressed, I could have mentioned it). Everything beautifully presented. Seems a popular venue - I was lucky to get a table arriving without a booking just after 12 noon.

As the name suggests the interior is quite small but it has outdoor seating with a view of the square. The prices were very reasonable, for example coffee was â¬1.30.Unusually in France some evenings there is Indian cuisine available, curries, samosas etc.Merci beaucoup âºï¸ On espère vous revoir.à bientôt Anton et Mélanie

Chose to eat lunch here based on previous TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The gentleman serving was very busy but very friendly. We had one savoury and one sweet crepe. They were clearly freshly prepared and cooked. They tasted delicious and were very filling. Washed down with a pear cider and a cappuccino. All for â¬26.50. Would definitely recommend.

Great little establishment in what is a fairly lively little town. Not fancying the hotelâs overpriced food we found this out with the help of TripAdvisor. We werenât disappointed. The wifeâs cod dish and my carbonnade we expertly cooked, the childrenâs portion were huge. The desserts were good too, though not as good as the starters or mains. Wine list was limited also, but having said that if I ever come to Abbeville again I will gladly come back.
