Excellent and authentic. We had fresh buko juice, tokwat baboy, grilled squid (do not pass up this dish - perfectly charred yet tender with a sauce that enhances the fish) and garlic bok choy. Generous portions at reasonable prices. Fast and friendly service. This place is the real Philipino deal. A must visit.

Seafood City is filipino grocery store in the Milpitas Seasons Shopping Center. It sells a variety of filipino groceries as well as has a stellar fish department to buy whole fish.Inside the store is also a cafe called Grill City. We have enjoyed stopping there for bbq sticks and pancit. They are good for an inexpensive place to go. Service varies depending how busy the area is. They grill the bbq sticks at the store over a large grill area. There is seating in the Grill City area to enjoy one's meal.Today we were there to get fish for dinner though.

Max's restaurant in Manila famous for it's Fried Chicken. It has been quite some time since I have eaten in the Manila Max's restaurant, hence it was a thrill to dine in a Max's restaurant in Milpitas where great memories of the delectable Max's fried chicken came back. The fried chicken at Max is not coated with any batter, and the way that the chicken are marinated and flavoured gives the chicken that special flavour. This restaurant also serves some authentic Filipino dishes which are very delicious. When in Milpitas, California, give Max's Restaurant a try and order the famous Max's fried chicken.

This was our first time to the restaurant, going for dinner. The menu selection is large and the server offered suggestions. All of the food was very good with very large portions. The restaurant is fairly small and it was mostly full when we left with people waiting for tables. We enjoyed the food and quiet atmosphere. We will visit again. Don't let the location in a strip mall fool you, this is worth a visit.
