Roti Modern Mediterranean combines the best flavors from around the Mediterranean with the freshest and highest quality ingredients to prove food can be healthy and hearty at the same time. Whether your diet is vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, keto, paleo,
Here you combine your own ingredient choices to put together a very good Mediterranean meal. The choices are excellent and the tastes are too. Too bad so few peple were eating here while the Chick-fil-a next door was packed. They were missing a good thing.

Not a stand alone restauant, no drive up service. Busy place with long lines at lunch. Very good, typical Chik-fil-A food. We like the excellent Southwestern salads.

My son forwarded the link to the WaPo article posted on-line about Street Kitchen, a new Indian fast food/street food concept at the Tyson. I am always ready to give a dosa joint a try. Dosas originate from India's Dakshin (AKA the "Deccan"), the deep south, most likely Tamil Nadu. It is truly a pan-Indian food. An acquaintance long ago reported munching on a crisp dosai at the Jabalpur RR stn, a town firmly in the Hindi belt of the North, and a 20 minute halt on the legendary Bombay Mail via Allahabad. I have never been to the TCC mall. We parked by the Bloomies and the ample counters selling luxury bags and beauties were staffed amply by the areas of Irani population. The location of Street Kitchen within the confines of TCC is an alternate definition of a street-side joint. On Good Friday evening Street Kitchen was staffed by 2 staff, of an ethnicity quite alternate to the strapping young, turbaned and bearded Sikh chef gracing the WaPo article. The alternate conclusion may be that he was tied up at the sister joint next door (American Tandoor)? The masala dosa served by Street Kitchen was probably an alternate interpretation to this well-established food item. The dosa part of the masala dosa was as expected - somewhat mottles brown, and firmly crisp. The masala however was from an alternate universe. The potato stuffing was dry and lacked the mushiness typical of a good masala dosa, and more importantly, had no curry leaves and mustard seeds, but alternately, ample green peas. The sambhar was sweetish, an alternate to the distinctive taste of sambhar powder and the bitterness of meethi seeds. The pre-packed coconut chutney was too dry. May be when when a dosa urge hits me next time I will find an alternate venue. .
