Dropped in here for breakfast before shopping in Tamworth, value for money and good service too. Coffee/tea good and hot and plenty of bacon on the bacon rolls, we chose to eat in but takeaway is available too, quite busy but didnt't take long to get served. Had to wait for fresh bacon to be cooked but again didn't take long and the young girl serving was pleasant and helpful. Will use again.
Queens Head, family friendly pub on the old A5 Watling Street, stands in the heart of Wilnecote, welcomes locals and visitors alike. Queens Head is a vibrant, character pub, recently refurbished and extended. Many of its original features still remain and
I love the fact they have taken on board quality Linda McCartney burgers, as well as veggie lasagne and omelettes. The meat menu is phenomenal with great portions and real value for money. Bev and Steve and their team really listen to the customers and it's great to be able to book a table, and of course doggy friendly

We needed just a few chips as I wasnât feeling well enough to cook. I felt worse after eating these hard dry cold chips. Wonât be going here again.

Have enjoyed the sharing kebab many times. Food always delivered hot and on time. The separate salad is always fresh and crisp, especially the red cabbage!

Pizza was hot when it arrived, took a bit longer that they said that was the only downside. The chip were nice but not that many considering the price you pay. Will you them again

Just had a Shapla special mixed curry (£5.80) and two chapatis (65p each) from here. Very disappointed. The place itself can be found across from the Vinyl Nightclub. A small shopfront. The public area inside doesnât inspire confidence. In real need of a freshen up, but looks can be deceiving. I was the only one in the shop during my visit. Food was cooked and packed in about 10 mins, so that was ok. Noticed that they had included a small popadom and a dip for free. The special mixed curry was the most mixed indian curry Iâve ever seen. Youâd think that was a good thing but not in this case. Within the very oily âsauceâ I think I found chicken, prawn, possibly lamb or beef, carrots, cucumber(?), potato, peas, and maybe some other stuff. With such a mix youâd think it was full of flavour. Instead it was bland, under seasoned, very oily, and unappetising. The chapatiâs were good though but one went to waste as I couldnât bear to eat all of the curry. The popadom was fine and the little dip was a refreshing minty dip that I wasnât my cup of tea. The prices on the menu were excellent but it isnât all about price, taste and quality of the food should be foremost in any eatery. I hope the dish I had was their worst and maybe everything else was brilliant. I wonât be finding out though, as I canât recommend it and wouldnât go back. My harshest review for a long long time.

Admittedly my review relates to a visit some time ago, but if the same person is still in charge then it's worth mentioning what an unpleasant character he was.My wife bought some fish & chips from there whilst shopping, and she noticed a chemical aftertaste - I tried some & agreed - it seemed that perhaps some serving item wasn't rinsed properly or somesuch, so I just took them back for a replacement. The boss/owner just didn't believe me, and became pretty belligerent, flatly refusing to replace them.Shocking behaviour, I thought, - it may have been just an off-day for the person in question, but it has remained an unpleasant occasion, and I would never give that place the benefit of my business again.

Swallow is not our usual takeaway but as that was closed I looked to see what was rated on TripAdvisor. We found the menu online and it looked quite good so we placed our order via the phone. Order placed, we were told to expect it in 40-45 minutes. 45 minutes later and no food so we called back and were told that they say 45 minutes -1 hour as a rough time but it could take longer and they were really busy. Except they didn't tell us that time. They said the delivery person was just about to leave with the order. Eventually this turned up 1 1/2 hours after we made the first call to order. If we hadn't been so hungry we would probably have sent it back. As it was I was eating just before I was due to go to bed which I wasn't happy about. We weren't offered any discount or extra for our delay either. On the food itself it wasn't bad but not as good as Eat Well which we usually use. Certainly after the experience we had I would be surprised if we were placing another order here any time soon.

A traditional family run British fish & chip shop since 1974. Belgrave fish bar offers British classics such as: cod, haddock, fresh roe, Pukka pies, and of course the great British chip ! We also pride ourselves on the quality of our kebabs: doner, Medit
Started coming here when another local chip shop, who deliver, started to drop in quality. They have a great choice at very good prices. The staff are always very friendly and efficient, especially the young lad. We definitely consider this the best chippy in Tamworth :) Thank you so much for your review Lucy, we really appreciate it !! We're glad that we are doing a good job and hope to continue to provide you with a good service. I will also pass on your praise to the staff member that you mentioned. Thanks again. Adam.
