Reviews on Fast Food food in Stone Town, Zanzibar City, Zanzibar Archipelago. Former palaces and Arab mansions along the twisting streets of Stone Town hint at a grander age for this port city on the western coast of Zanzibar. The Old Fort, built in the 1700s to fend off the Portuguese, now hosts local performances, a café and an art gallery. Overstuffed bazaars lend an air of nonstop bustle. Mafia Island Marine Park sits just offshore, a haven for snorkeling the local reefs. Day tours visit working plantations where the island's legendary spices are grown.

The food was good but the aggressive sales tactics of some left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended.) If anyone tries to take you to their table, say no and move on. The vendors that aren't aggressively selling are the only ones you should visit.

Situated across the park from Serena Zanzibar Hotel, this cafe is part of the Doubletreeâs small convention center. We tried the Samaki sandwich in a wrap instead of on bread, the chicken wrap, and the avocado chocolate mousse. Each was delicious. Total price including a Kilimanjaro beer we split was ~US$20 and was paid with credit card. The only drawback was the heat. Although somewhat cooled by the trees in the park, thereâs no cooling ocean breeze and no overhead fans. So it does get warm around lunchtime. Thank you AfricaAtNewYears for taking a moment to share your experience here on Trip advisor!I am happy to hear you found the Avocado creations to your liking and we look forward to serving you again !We are ready when you are!
