Find out what Fast Food restaurants to try in Springfield. The spirit of the "Land of Lincoln" is nowhere else so alive as it is in Springfield, one time home to old Honest Abe himself and present home of the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, the Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices State Historic Site, the Old State Capitol State Historic Site, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and the Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site. The NAACP also holds Springfield at its roots, having formed after a particularly bloody race riot here in 1908.

We read about this place on TA. We are always on a quest for the best pizza places in an area. This place came highly recommended so we gave it a whirl. It is a fast food concept pizza place. You order at the window. Make all of your selections. Then you pay for your pizza and wait. It was a decent pizza. The server was very friendly and helpful. The sauce lacked seasoning. We had to add some Italian seasoning which was available in a shaker next to the drink station. It was nice to have them put fresh mozzarella on your pizza. Here is a tip (order anything you want on your pizza it is all the same price). We did not see that tidbit of information until we were seated at our table waiting for our two topping pizza. We are so accustomed to paying for each topping we did not want to go overboard and drive up the price. This is just an average pizza place. We would rate it lower than a few in the area. It is nice to have it made your way but lacked interest. We ordered water with our meal and there was an option for sparkling water or regular water. That was a very pleasant touch to have this option. Good not great would be our summary.

Sat at the counter. Ate 2 juicy, flavorful loose meat burgers. Combine this with a generous helping of fresh fries and a homemade root beer float. Simple and satisfying. If youâre like me and hadnât been by in a while, you should return. If youâre visiting, you should make it a point to stop by and have a seat. Itâs a great place for a lunch amidst historic downtown Springfield sites.

This is part of the local sub chain that has several throughout the city. This one is across the street from the Hoogland center for the arts in the downtown area. The sandwiches here are consistently good particularly the ones with the sweet bread. Lots of options are available and made to order and my favorite is the turkey provolone.
