Living in China, it's hard to find Mexican food. Unless you're in the bigger cities like Beijing or Shanghai. The food is is good, and filling. If you're missing Mexican food when in town. This is the place. The nachos are ok. The chicken tacos are great and the fajitas great too.
During my 10-days stay in Chengdu last week, I went to Peter's Tex Mex at least 4 times!I had a dinner consists of Salmon (149), Salsa Chips (32), Prawn wrapped in bacon (58). The chips were not crispy. But the salmon and prawn wrapped in bacon were excellent! Worth the wait! The portion was huge and it is advisable to share the appetiser. They have 50% discount if you but a second pie. i.e. 2 pies for RMB48. I managed to try brownie and 2 different types of pies during my visit. The pies were good; especially Apple Pie and Pecan Pie; rich with fresh ingredients and is worth a try if you enjoy pies. It would remain my "must-visit" place at Chengdu!
A craft brewery with good foodï¼
Tried the burger here and it was good, the beers are brewed onsite as part of their own micro-brewery and the various ones I've tried were all good, though to my budget on the pricey side. The environment is very comfortable, and a relatively quiet street to sit out on of a summer evening if you so wish.
After three weeks of Chinese food for breakfast, lunch and dinner it was nice to sample some western food again so we visited this Pizza Hut on the first floor in Donna Avenue. The (very young) staff had just about enough English between them to understand us and, together with pointing at the pictures in the menu, we managed to order. The food was excellent as was the enthusiasm and helpfulness of the staff who couldn't do enough to make our visit a success, so much so that we'd offered a tip- which they gracefully refused.
