No 8 is a clean modern looking chippy down a side road in a Prestwich, serving light, fresh and tasty fish and chips. Friendly service, good price. Iâll be back next time Iâm in town!

This has to be the best fish and chip shop in the area. The fish is large and fried to perfection in a light crispy batter. The chips are also beautifully cooked. I haven't tried the pies but my husband always has battered sausage which he says is excellent. I highly recommend it.

As their takeaway in Church Street had a really long queue, we were directed to their new sit down restaurant in Tib Street. Totally brilliant. I had read about their creative and ingenious menus, but eating them took us to another level, We all ordered different varieties and everyone scored a Spinal Tap 11/10. Even the music in the background was banging. Amazing value for money. Whenever you come to Eric's own country, you have to make Northern Soul a must see/do

Called in for takeaway ordered 1 cod and chips, and I noticed a sign in front of the young girl serving me till 002 saying Hake I asked her is the hake ready and she looked at me in a strange way and said Hake I said yes! I then said fish?? She said yes sqinting her eyes! Then she read my order out 1x fish and chips curry, and 1 x fish chip and peas and curry, I said can you make sure the hake is with the one with peas, at this point she squinted her eyes again and said Hake (I thought this has got to be a comedy clip) so I turn the sign round on the counter that said Hake! she looked at the sign and shouted do we have hake the fryers shouted back yes! I asked is it ready she said yes read it again and took my money! Then 1 fryer shouted to the till girl do you want a hake? She said yes! The girl then asked me to wait for the hake to be cooked. At this point I had give up so I waited for my food some 5 mins later it was ready the same girl handed the bag sidewards to me grunted something got home and it was all mashed up. We ate very little of the meal. We have takeaways from here every couple of weeks Not any more. Petchalant kids serving.

Honestly the best gelato i have had anywhere including those in Italy. (Just ensure it is not hard or frozen when collecting or eating).The owner Gianluca is very nice and friendly. Shame i live so far away from this place.The best gelato you can get! Great going to the owners!
