Quality freshly made Subs, Salads and wraps at the same low price. Serving great quality Barista made coffee! Free WiFi available.
At first I wondered why this Subway is out of the toen centre but then you realise it is right in the path of everyone coming off the ferry in the old station building. It must be packed at times but the evening we ate there it was deserted. All very clean with the usual Subway selection.

We've been looking for a "regular" fish and chip shop in Picton and have decided this is the best of them. The pries look a bit steep, but the pieces of hoki (fish) for $5.50 are enormous and a scoop of chips is too much for the 2 of us plus 5 year old son.I placed a very large order for an end-of-year lunch for my Year 3-4 class and some parents and they gave me a sizeable discount and the food was enjoyed by all. This was much appreciated - thank you!

I had an accident and the owner/manager didn't even apologise, even though it was from faulty equipment. I have previously given a good review about this place and the food was good, but the owner/manager was terrible and I will never go back there. I think that most eateries would at least make sure you were ok or offer a drink of water. Not cool.

When we saw the fresh fish in the window display, that is what we expected. We ordered the butterfish, but unfortunately, we did not see where he got the fish from. End result and long story cut short. The fish was less than half the size displayed in the window and the batter was very thick and crunchy, not too mention overcooked. The chips were saturated in oil as the fish. I will not go back there again for fish and chips. However, the beautiful fresh prawn/shrimps that they sell are the best I have ever tried in NZ. So bigs up in that department. Thanks anirt111 for taking the time to post your review. We are sorry you had a bad experience at our takeaway shop and hope you give us the chance to make it right with you. Please call in or phone and make yourself known to the owner and you will be reimbursed the cost of your food that was not up to standard. The fish in the cabinet is the fresh fish which is sold just as that 'fresh fish [uncooked] for people to take home an cook as they wish. When ordering fish to be cooked it is kept in the chiller in the cooking part of the shop so it isn't the same as what is on display although it would be pretty close to it. However many of our customers prefer to buy from the front cabinet and have it cooked which we are happy to do. This is sold by the weight of it rather than a standard piece price.I hope you give us a chance to show you what many of our satisfied customers are happy with. We are really glad you liked the NZ Prawns. They really are tasty.
Arrived off the ferry at the end of the day looking for a quick meal. Found Shia Shia s on google and ended up following a number of people into the shop. My favourite fish was sold out so settled on Tarakihi and a mussel fritter. When they arrived I found either one would have sufficed. The fish while fresh and firm was upstaged by the fritter. It was full of flavour and mussel meat. Service was very firendly and pretty quick despite being very busy.
