It was very hot the day we visited Matera and after visiting the Sissi we were hot and tired saw this place and went in. Not the sort of place we would normally go but the AC and how could you pass over something called a BiggyburgerXXL. The cold drink and chicken burger were good and the service was excellent, helping us with the unfamiliar menu.
Handmade delicacies that instantly light up your day. Whether it is a soup, a tartar, an appetizer, a carpaccio, a fry, or simply a sandwich, they become special because we use only the best and freshest ingredients to produce these succulent artifacts.
Nice place and very friendly owners. Great, fresh, beautiful seafood dishes just across the street from old town Matera. We ordered the mixed grilled seafood and a raw tuna salad. Fish was generous for the modest prices. Itâs a casual spot - mainly take-out although you can sit on lovely tables upstairs. Highly enjoyable! Thank you very much! We are glad that you liked everything, if you happen again in Matera come back to us, a greeting from the Barracuda staff.

Delicious! I just popped in for a quick bite to eat. 2 enthusiastic young men behind the counter, both very helpful. Simple concise menu. Spotlessly clean throughout. Reasonably priced. Quick service. REALLY TASTY. Will return.

What a great little place to grab some excellent pizza, have a drink and watch the world go by, and Matera is quite a special place to do that. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made a fresh yummy Calzone for a gluten free member of the family. They were thrilled with the taste. As a family it was a great stop for some freshly prepared, tasty, great value food. I enjoyed stopping here and watching everyone passing by on their evening stroll.

This little hole in the wall is near the Old Town of Sassi in the pedestrian area. The owner makes numerous dishes like pork belly with vegetables in a bbq sauce and then fills little sandwiches that are presented in a little paper tray or placed on a plate with fresh vegetables. The food is excellent, the owner very friendly and is always busy. The owner will also take a photo of you and place it on the wall with your homw town named. There is now a photo from Plymouth England

My gorgeous tour guide recommended this little place for lunch and am I ever glad I listened! Definitely some of the best food I've ever had, coupled with the fun experience of trying something completely different. The sandwich was so good I went back at dinner and got the same thing. I also took a piece of mattonella for my long drive back to Naples the next day. The beers here are really good too. I always try to drink local when it's available and these are delicious! The little gal behind the counter was adorable and so helpful a d sweet.
