The food at Sunshine steak is not traditional Thai,they do pork, chicken,beef,fish steaks in various styles all served with chips or rice,salad and garlic bread,prices starting at 49 baht which is incredible value. I have to mention the mango smoothies which were out of this world. We stayed in Mai Khao for 6 nights and we ate at Sunshine's for 5 of them, regretting the night we tried somewhere else. The place is run by an extended Thai family who were as delightful as their food.

One of the best in Kata beach!!! All food I've tried is just amazing!! Seafood, Western, Thai etc must try all!!Staff is very good!! Service and environment is 5 star!!! This is a normal restaurant but beats most of the "5 stars" in Phuket!!Beer really cold served in frozen glasses!! Definitely recommend!!!

Went for dinner. Good friendly service. Do not be put off by the barn like place, it was open and thus cooler. Fish seafood esp fish was the highlight to a good meal. Prices good and food excellent.
