Always been a very good fish & chip shop and very popular! We use it on a weekly basis, however feel it has changed lately and not as good but this may just be a blip...hope so!!

Was visiting a friend in the area and we had fish and chips from this establishment and it was superb. The row of shops it is in does not inspire you to go to it but it offers excellent fish and chips. Will queued for a while but it was certainly worth it.

01582 596 777The number of the restaurant. Excellent chicken chow mein, loads of lovely bite sized pieces in with plenty of bean sprouts which I love. Also a nice touch was the spring onion tasting leafy bits, which set it off. For £4.60 you get a fair whack in there and I'm doing the scene from Lost Boys again The hot and sour soup also has plenty of good stuff included but although very satisfying, might have been a bit heavy on the white wine vinegar. The lady at the counter is a bit terse as said in other reviews. Maybe I'll buy her a bunch of flowers next time, and take her out for a nice curry..

Fish a d chips takeaway. We use on a regular badis. Fish cookrd fresh as you wait. Good quality and the chips are not soggy as in some chip shops. Sligbtly expensive but worth the extra money.

Found this on Google close to where I was staying. On arrival presentation of premises looked nice and clean. Great menu and prices, even a choice for small or large containers. Chose Singapore fried rice and a portion of salt and pepper chicken wings. Took the food back to hotel and sat in front of tv. Well my rice dish was lovely, good portion with a nice amount of prawns, chicken and pork. My chicken wings were great too, finger licking good! Definitely one to try I am working in the area again this week so I will be returning lol

Always our choice for fresh fish and chips always cooked to perfection and always busy so fish is always cooked to order and not sitting in the hot cabinet We have tried many local fish and chip shops in the area over the years and this rates as one of the best Great parking as well !

Fish and chips are amazing and the quality is the same each time.Some time there is a little wait but it's because they do not leave it under the heat lamp and normal cook it fresh. They also have a large number of repete costumes. You can always phone ahead for collection . 10/10. And a good team working here.

Wow food was delicious ! This was a by chance find and what a find it was. Food was piping hot , freshly prepared and tasted amazing. Nothing was too much trouble when ordering (fussy children) . Very good value for money . Will be back again

These guys are at the top of their game. Really good fare served speedily and with the addition of outside seating - albeit with NO view to write about, LOL! But this is not about location. The food is fine and the premises spotless. And the decor inside is exactly what is needed. The food is cooked in front of an audience and is easily one of the best "greasy spoons" in the UK. I tried the full monty (illustrated) (K4?) with my hungry son. He couldn't finish it. We included a drink and there was plenty of toast to eat alongside the piping hot food. There was little to no grease! The mushrooms were exceptional and the black pudding scrumptious. Bacon as good as it gets, riddled to perfection.Parking can be a problem but please find a spot and walk if necessary - it is really worth the chore!
