Things to do in Lismore
The young female staff seem more interested in talking among themselves than actually serving customers. Unless you are a regular and stand at the right place at the counter you don't get served. I was flabbergasted when they actually weighed the meat they put in the kebab. Food is average kebab, not good or bad. Avoid the hot chips unless they are fresh - look nice but dried out due to too long in box.
Take away. Ordered vege quesadilla no beans, asked for vegetables. They gave beans. Sent back and reordered, got home and it was disgusting. Had cauliflower and BEANS, no tomatoes, nothing else and a miniscule amount of cheese.I've had quesadillas in other countries and they are awesome. Not only was it unappealing it tasted stale, you know, old vegetables taste that repeats. After one bite I could not eat and gave to the dog. Seriously awful experience for my first time.If all Zambreros are like this I will never use again.
We were with another couple and ordered pizzas to be delivered. One of these was gluten free. The pizzas were just o.k. Perhaps we have been spoiled as we often order from Crust [Charlestown] where they are great!!

Arrived to get some takeaway breakfast just on 6am on a Sunday morning. Pulled up to drive through and the guy told me that drive through was not yet ready to take orders. Walked up stairs and straight in the door. When I got to the counter a young woman looked up with a startle and said "What the hell?" I didn't know what to say. I said I was hoping to get a bacon and egg muffin meal. She then told me they would not be open for another 5 minutes. I waited, then attempted to reorder a few minutes later. Quite a surprise of a visit.

I have had a fair few kebabs from here and despite the attendants sometimes being unable to understand your requests it just goes to show how authentic this place is almost all my kebabs besides one has been great and the chicken has been tender, unfortunately my latest one had cheese that tasted off, but off than that, they can deliver 90% of the time, the boys behind the counter are great and offered us some Turkish delight while we wait, they also joked around and made it a very friendly environment.

We ate here while travelling as it was convenient to our accommodation. Loads of choice on the menu, and our meal came almost immediately as they had a bain marie with many options, adjacent to the restaurant where takeaway food was served. Turnover was constant so food was fresh.

The store looks nice and inviting and is clean. However I ordered the calamari which was inedible. It had suffered the fate of so many poorly cooked calamari dishes one encounters when the cook/chef generally hasn't a clue ie: under or over cooked, leaving it with enough elasticity to launch a rocket into deep space. The prawns were very fresh but sadly the batter was too thick and was still wet next to the prawn itself. Potato cake was ok albeit a little oily and very thin. The pineapple fritter was inedible due to excessive batter that was soggy and greasy.I will be avoiding this fish and chippery in lieu of a much better ones in nearby coastal towns

Family had Kebabs and burgers on 28th Dec, public holiday. Great service, wasn't too busy, they had a huge range of fillings on offer. Great value for money, with meal deals, plates, kebabs, burgers and chips. Even if your kids don't like kebabs they still have chips and burgers. Do you self a favour you won't be disappointed. As with all these places if it's busy you'll have to wait, but it'll be worth it.
Tried the pizza here after a quick TripAdvisor search while in town on business. The guy seemed pretty disinterested, shop was quiet as was the area. Had a go at a conversation but didn't get much back so waited outside. The pizza took and average time to make, average price, average in taste, base and toppings. Overall, marginally better than Domino's....

The Northern Rivers favourite fried chicken and smokehouse BBQ, plus a good selection of vegetarian goodness too. Gluten free and dairy free. Local produce. Great bar. Generally just some damn good times.
Chicken was lukewarm and certainly not as described in other reviews. Lacked flavour and was a bit dry. Maybe I just got a dud night but don't think I'll bother again. The cider was good and cold though. Long hair in the kitchen isn't really a good look either.Sorry you were not keen on it. What was the issue with the long hair? Just not the right style for you?I look forward to any more info you might be able to give us.Cheers,Gray
