Ate her in 2013, last time we were on the Big Island. The poke here is fantastic! Added feather in their cap, they are serving in compostable take away containers. Prices have gone up (almost doubled) about 30% in last 6 years...but still competitive with other places and I think BEST poke in the area for sure.

Subway needs to add more meat to their sandwiches! Charge a little more and make it better. The bread choices are good and the veggies.

A local friend recommended Sandyâs Drive In, and that was an excellent recommendation. Sandyâs is located on highway 11, Mamalahoa Hwy or Belt Road, in Kealakekua. Their service is fast and friendly and has been a local favorite for over 50 years. They serve a great breakfast and have wonderful Loco Moco. Their specialty tempura sweet potato "chips" are something very special! The facilities are clean and airy. A great stop while traveling south from Kona.

The food was good and the prices were good. Seems like more of a place for locals than tourist, which is what we like to find it when we are on vacation. The rental car place is right across the street. Very convenient location and Target is around the corner.
