I was visiting family in alamo, Texas just last month. My family recommended we get tamales from here. I absolutely loved the chicken and cheese. My son loved the beans and cheese! They were amazing. I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone finding a place to eat good tamales!!

A simple "Mom and Pop" store that gives you a "country atmosphere". Getting a variety platter is probably a wiser decision if you have never eaten there before. Personally, I avoid ordering briskets because it is too oily for my heart. You can always get an ice tea to accompany your meal.

this place got excellent reviews on the local craigslist rants and raves, and thot i'd check it out. i LOVE sonic's super breakfast burrito with easy jalepenos, and a 32 oz diet dr pepper, with diet cherry flavoring, easy ice. have ordered that about once a week from florida to vegas. there's been in increase in prices, it used to be less than $4.50, and now it's over $5.placed my order from the big nice outdoor dining area. the young man who delivered it ran and skipped and did a little dance to get it to me, which was fun. however, he forgot my drink. came back with the largest size (44 oz), and it had lotsa ice in it. the 44 oz doesn't fit in my car cup holder well. so sent him back again to get the right size, and make it easy ice.the burrito was ok. some are well done with no innards outside the burrito. some are tiny and loosely wrapped. some put the jalepenos all in one place. this would be a great sonic for parties in their covered outdoor area. the kids play area had the biggest and fanciest slides and climbing stuff i've ever seen at any fast food restaurant. it had a volleyball court on the other side of the outdoor dining area.
I've loved Taco Zarape and have eaten at their Edinburg and McAllen locations. Their tacos are delicious and relatively authentic. I enjoy the usual relaxed atmosphere. And I can't finish this review without admitting to an addiction to their "Taco Pirata"!
Good food.Friendly staff. The usual Subway, usually clean and efficient. Not the cheapest, but good.No military discount. No senior discount
