Reviews on Fast Food food in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, United States. With a long history dating back to before the American Revolution, it's not a surprise that Carlisle is full of historic treasures, including a church once attended by George Washington and a courthouse damaged by artillery during the Civil War. Despite this impressive heritage, the city is most famous for being Pennsylvania's "automotive capital," hosting ten annual car, truck, and motorcycle shows that are attended by a half a million people each year.

We eat at Firehouse Subs wherever we find them as their sandwiches are the best of the sub style chains. We got FH Subs for dinner. I got their Reuben and the wife got a grilled hot chicken sub. Both were excellent and the medium size subs gave us both two meals. There is plenty of meat on the sandwiches and the rolls and toppings are excellent.I must say that the guy who was apparently the team leader was a bit of a grump. The other two workers were very pleasant and helpful.FH Subs are not the cheapest around, but they are absolutely the best!Parking is right by the door and the restaurant is at the I-81 Hanover St. exit. It s easy to pull of the highway, get a great hot sub and get back on the road.FH is in the strip center behind the Chik-fil-A.Hint: Try the Reuben. I think it is a limited time sandwich. It is not a traditional rye bread Reuben, but it was excellent.

Didn't feel like cooking again tonight so had the wife pick up a couple pizzas for dinner tonight while she dropped her friend off in Carlisle. As always, the pizza was hot, fresh, and not only tasty, but looks like the pizza in the commercials. The Carlisle shop is possibly the best Papa Johns near me and that's why I make any excuse to go there. Keep up the good work folks!!!

The chain continues to expand and I think the food option is a decent alternative to the burger shops. Staff were friendly, the place was fairly new and clean; they stuffed our sub with add in veggies and everything is fresh and tasty. Not much wait when the place is slow as well. Parked right out front. Menu lists calorie comparisons. With the chips and drink add on it's a satisfying quick bite on the road. This site earns high marks, not all will.
Convenience Store across the street from my Motel had a subway tucked away in the corner of the store so I passed up the chips and canned soda for a 6" meatball sub with cheese and extra sauce. This may be evidence of how hungry I was but I took this hot sandwich back to the Motel room and enjoyed this like no other sandwich... Hmmm, Good... Tichiganblues
