Meal was adequate, but the drink was virtually unpalatable. So slow to serve, except for the tea and the soft drink, the tea was far too strong and the ice was already diluting the coke.
Called again! Clean premises. Friendly greeting. Had the cheese plough mans baguette with a packet of crisps. £3. Baguette full of very tasty food especially liked the onion and the pickle. Very satisfying and very reasonably priced. Off the beaten track slightly but well worth a visit
Like most regular customers of this fish & chip shop I / we have never given it a thought to rating its product(s)! Living close to this establishment is handy for us as we don't have to drive into town (Bridgwater), so we use it regularly! As others have stated they usually cook 'to order' and the fish is usually large in size and freshly cooked, chip portions are offered as small, medium and large, which also dictates the end price per 'portion'. They also offer a kids meal which is popular and good value alongside other fried foodstuffs, plus canned drinks etc. During summer months it is possible to sit outside and eat, but they only supply a single table and a few chairs. Parking is on the main road, right outside of the premises, or in one of the side streets nearby. Failing that there is a carpark in the community centre across the road and next to the church rooms that you can use, Some customers take advantage of this and eat their chip supper next to the brook / church rooms. Toilets are also available within this carpark during the day. Note that this shop does not stay open late at night! and usually closes around 9pm.

Popped in for a quick snack. Pleasant enough staff but the food was not good. Had a battered sausage and chips. The batter was anaemic and soft. The sausage was tasteless and I would probably have had more meat in a bag of pork scratchings. A lot of the chips had brown marks or spots on them. A total disaster. Will not return
Friendly attentive staff. Had the combo chicken and lamb shish kebab with salad and chips (and a good garlic sauce). The meat was cooked to perfection and all was hot. Reasonably priced. Despite being busy they didn't take too long in delivering the order. Clean premises. Tasty food and can recommend.

Wow!! Just had a hot half chicken with chips. My wife had plain half chicken and chips. Excellent. The chicken meat fell off the bones with ease. Very well cooked and extremely tasty . Travelled 6 miles before eating the meal and it was still hot. Very good portion size with plump chicken. The chips were well cooked and a sachet of salt to add to ones own taste. Cannot fault the food at all. The service was also excellent . Entered and immediately greeted with a smile and warm welcome. Order taken and food served well within 15 minutes. It has significantly improved when last there over a year ago. Very clean kitchen and reception. No wonder it has a 5 rating from Sedgemoor D C and Food Agency. Will return and very much recommend. Thank you Shaanz.

Ordered the set meal of spare ribs, beef in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken, fried mixed vegetables and egg fried rice. 15 mins and it was ready . Exceptionally large portion sizes. Hot very tasty food. Polite waitress and a clean shop front. The only down side was someone whom appeared drunk eating his takeaway in the shop and spilling some of it on the floor. Not great when you're waiting for a takeaway in a fairly small area.

The Bridge Restaurant in Bridgwater, Somerset is a family owned and run daytime restaurant/cafe. Established in 1970 it is well known for its homemade Quiches, Pizza and Salads. We pride ourselves on top quality home cooked food, Segafredo Coffee, Miles T
We were getting hangry so I hastily punched some stuff into the GPS hoping to find a vegetarian place in Bridgewater. We're not vegetarians but we were Jonesin' for some healthy food. It's a bad combination: My wife and I were hungry because it was past lunchtime and we were running a little behind schedule in a foreign country where the steering wheels are on the wrong side. We were snapping at each other and I was working the Garmin whilst trying not to smack into another vehicle. The Bridge came up on the device and I made an instant decision. Miraculously there was a parking space right in front. This was one of the weirder meals we had on our trip. The food wasn't very good. I think I had some pizza or something. My wife's salad was iceberg lettuce with a big pile of cheddar cheese on top. Okay, that's weird. Anyway, don't make the same mistake I did.

I was brought up in North Petherton and have since moved around 150 miles away with my partner. The first thing he asks when we visit my parents is "can we get a kebab?", they are that good! We always get the chef's special which is a mix of all the kebab meats, a huge salad, and 2 pitta breads. More than enough for two (large) people, probably enough to feed 4 normal sized people. Will always travel to get kebabs from this place as nothing else compares.
