Basingstoke (/ˈbeɪzɪŋstoʊk/ BAY-zing-stohk) is the largest town in the modern county of Hampshire (Southampton and Portsmouth being cities.) It is situated in south central England, and lies across a valley at the source of the River Loddon. It is located 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Southampton, 48 miles (77 km) southwest of London, and 19 miles (31 km) northeast of the county town and former capital Winchester. According to the 2016 population estimate the town had a population of 113,776. It is part of the borough of Basingstoke and Deane and part of the parliamentary constituency of Basingstoke. Basingstoke is often nicknamed "Doughnut City" or "Roundabout City" because of the number of large roundabouts.

We have a meal delivered every week and despite living out in the sticks they happily come to us.The food is consistently good.I don't think we've found a dish too oily or too dry, it's pretty much always been just right. The menu has plenty of choice so there's something for everyone.

We had heard great things about Howah. They were right !! Easily the best Chinese Takeaway that I've ever enjoyed. Cooked fresh in the highly visible kitchen. Huge menu choice--best to decide before you visit. Cash only-no cards, could catch you out.

I go to the Basing Chinese takeaway fairly regularly. The food is always very quick (even at the weekend when they are very busy). Have never had a bad meal from there. They even save newspapers for me when I go in to light my fire. Lovely family. Highly recommended

Spur of the moment decision for Chinese usually order elsewhere but can only order via phone. These you can order online and was best spur of the moment decision. Food was really gorgeous and not oily at all which so many chinese's are these days. Order came really quickly too thought that might be because it was a monday night. Egg fried rice actually has some flavour in it too most just taste bland these days. Totally recommend these guys.

It felt very average nothing special. Queue too long coffee not great. Eggs were as always. Seating is ok and everything was just so. Everything you expect but none of the special bits!

Visited Wimpy Basingstoke this week, and as per usual, found it to be a very pleasant Experience all round! We seated ourselves and were quickly greeted by a waitress, who was a trainee (but it didnât show!) we were advised of the specials, and left to choose.We had a selection of the menu between us, from burgers to breakfasts.Our drinks were quickly brought to us, and the food not long after. I was very impressed with the speed of service!Our meals were piping hot, and above all FRESH! The breakfast special was 10/10 what youâd expect from a Wimpy breakfast, my burger was excellent, and the classic hamburger was 10/10 too!We also had a dessert each, myself sampling a âBrown Derbyâ and a sundae for the our other diners (including a good ol fashioned Knickerbocker Glory!) Great quality of food being served, and at a reasonable price too! Plus we also noted you can now buy the âSpecial Sauceâ to take home too!Great taste of nostalgia, and I will be sure to visit next time Iâm in the area

Thai Knight is a regular market stall on a Wednesday and Saturday till around 4pm. All food is cooked right in front of you and then you can take it away. The food is stunning so I recommend you try is for a take way as it has very high standard of stall food and you will fined it at the top of town. Many thanks for your review Toni. The surprise being that it was possible get fish and chips mid afternoon on a Sunday. Partner was pleased with her plaice and chips. I would say that the ratio of potato to fish in my fish cakes was definitely in favour of the potato. The locally producer lager was definitely a highlight though. Friendly staff.

As we walked pass the lady behind the till shouted out if we would like a taste. As it smelled so good , we accepted her offer....WOW ...soft favourable with a lovely coconut finish. I think we paid £ 6.5 ..for something you could easily pay double for and to be honest if i was in a curry house i would be happy to pay tripple.
