Things to do in Amesbury
We had breakfast at Greggs 9.30am on 2/11/18. Food & drink was fine BUT the toilets were absolutely disgusting. I used the disabled toilet - there was old poo all the way up and round the bowl of the toilet, urine all over the floor,no toilet paper or soap. It was difficult to come out without having soiled clothes by trailing on the wet floor and impossible to clean hands or anything else. My other half used the gents and said no paper or soap and very unclean. I reported to the Greggs staff, who seems totally uninterested. Surely it is in interests of all the outlets that share these facilities to get something done about it. If we had done things the other way round and used toilets first before breakfast we would not have fancied eating anything and would have left without making a purchase.

If you want fast, fresh and tasty takeaway food, this is the place to go! The food is great and packs flavour! Visit or phone orders in! Plenty of parking outside!
Great food at a reasonable price. No sitting arrangement but quick take away. Very genuinely priced place.

The Malaysian style Chicken in pineapple had amazing flavours although we wish it had been slightly milder. The Chicken curry and crispy chicken in lemon sauce were also both very tasty. Overall a great takeaway but it was a shame to find a hair inside our prawn cracker bag.

Really good fish and chips, generous portions! Chips are never greasy and fish lovely and crispy. A favourite chippy for us.

In an attempt to lose a few pounds before holidays, I've cut out chips and processed food from my diet. However, after walking out of Tesco's (next door) I was lured into Kingfish by the lovely smell coming from within. Within 20 minutes, my diet was broken as I tucked into the best fish and chips I've had in a while. The batter on the tasty fish was crisp and not greasy. The chips were also very crisp. Diet or not, try Kingfish - you will not be dissapointed !

Premium price with thick batter and grease . Sweet n sour packed out with chopped onions with source so thick you could stand your fork in it . Nodules with strips of fatty unknown meat was off putting. All in all we would recommend trying another Chinese take away in the town as there is at least 3 within walking distance. So expensive for the low quality food . Had an old look to it .
Baked potato was passable. Cutlery provided (knives) are useless for cutting even baked potatoes!Tuna Mayo filling was devoid of Mayo and had to add own from sachets. Sausage and bacon cob was OK.No soap in toilets only sanitizerCheap enough £8 for both including coffees

Let's start with a few of the whines and whines in the other reviews. No they don't take cards, it's a cash only business model. There's a sign up stating this, and a cash machine less than two minutes walk away. If this is a problem, go elsewhere. There's also no website, no menus other than the big sign up on the back wall over the fryer, and from what I've seen no advertising. Yet despite this the business is still running with plenty of customers. And one has to ask why this should be?Well the foods simply excellent. The chips are good, tasty, not soggy. Battered sausage crisp on the outside and flavourful on the inside. Fish has that delightful buttery texture and crispy Battered coating. The service is more old school, in terms of what one recieves, and that's no bad thing. It's a nice reminder of how businesses were not too long ago. To put it simply, this place doesn't need to show off, the food does this for it. The best thing is the price - 2 adults and a hungry teenager fed for under £15, that's great value. As a result I'll be making this a regular stop on my monthly meal choices.

Having read other reviews I had mixed feelings but it was a treat for my granddaughter. My misgivings were quickly put aside as we had excellent food and server and was a pleasant experience. The food was well presented and hot and we had a great time. The only thing that let it down was the salad bar, where most of the dressings were very low or empty.
