This restaurant aims for quality elaborate food with an emphasis on fish. And that's what they do, no more no less.Like countless places nowadays this one features a grey modern interior. It looks nice on paper, yes but can be cold and formal when you sit at a table for dinner. And the hour long light music loop we heard numerous times...All in all, good food, decent service, nice place but not much else. Not very lively. I had the feeling of being in a funeral home. Maybe they were hit by some bad news that week?

Nice atmosphere, welcoming service. Enough space between tables. Nicely balanced menu with great flavours. Good seasoning. Adapted wines well paired. Only negative; we asked wine pairing and did not take aperitif as i needed to drive still, but they did not bring any wine until first dish.... in other Michelin star restaurants they then served the 1st glass with the amuses.

Based on their website you would be right to expect high quality seafood. What you get is an industrial sized "shove it on their plates and sell it is expensive as possible". Their "famous" shrimp croquettes are industrial. The crab is served straight from the fridge. They do not even bother to make the effort to pretend anything is freshly prepared. The rudeness of the service staff when I asked why I was served something straight out of the fridge when I could reasonably expect a fresh meal was beyond description. They tried to make me feel like a fool who does not belong here, since he does not know anything about seafood. The menu is embarrisingly short on fresh fish (usually 1 option: cod). Yes, there are shell fish on offer. If you want to feel like a fool go ahead and order a platter for > â¬50. Count how many oysters you get, how much lobster there is and compare this with the amount of cheap rubish you get served on the same plate.

Giving this restaurant an overall rating is a conundrum. Within the category of a brasserie it serves excellent food at an excellent price. No pomp and circumstance, no artistic presentation, no pizzaz - just delicious, well-prepared food. I had the rib-eye steak with the poivre sauce, frites and a fresh garden salad. All the servings were generous, the steak was perfectly cooked to order, the frites were classic Belgium frites served with mayo and the salad was a lovely mix of garden greens with a light dressing. The only minor shortcoming was the poivre sauce which, although very flavorful, was a bit too thin for my personal preference. This restaurant will please you whether you are age 8 or 80!

What can one say more than simply ...heaven ... What I particularly love about this kitchen is the simplicity and yet very great flavors that are present in your dishes. Simple and tasteful ingredients revisited by a great chef, with no fuss about it (unlike some others). Either menu you choose it'll always be a culinary feast. Bart Desmidt is also a chef who defends the quality of local products and certainly Northseafish. Add to that an almost perfect and impeccable service by the lady of the house, view on the sea, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices for a two stars Michelin restaurant, and you have the reasons why this is my favourite star ranked restaurant in Belgium.

Actually this was the second time we went to this restaurant. It's near to the Church in Zeebrugge and have enough parking next to the restaurant along the street.Food was fabulous and tempo was just nice. Friendly staffs nice menu card. Everything was perfect. It's quite popular therefore need to book before you go. Week or two before.

Been back there twice this summer, and have not been disappointed. They have redone the interior, good taste - the spotlights above the tables are a bit too strong, maybe they can correct that. The food is excellent, fresh fish obviously, good croquettes crevettes. Honestly priced. White wine by the glass is excellent. But above all, the warm and efficient welcome and service/supervision of the service by the lady of the house makes it a place where very little can go wrong and where you can count on a good restaurant experience.

Small and trendy restaurant in the center of the city. Very light and cosy interiour with open kitchen. Chef Thierry serves a traditional but light French cuisine with Asian influences. Friendly and attentive service by his wife Véronique
Nice restaurant but small, friendly staff. The food is very tasteful, we took the menu and this was excellent. Only downpoint which in the end spoiled the meal was the waiting time for the dessert, this took between 45 min. and an hour, i was already planning to leave without dessert.

Located in the hart of Knokke-Heist, offers a panoramic vieuw on Place m'as tu vu and is famous for its T-Bone and meat fondue on friday's, as well as the roasted cod, grilled tuna and its calf sweetbread. Also takeaway possible
I was here with a group and the service was brilliant as was the food. Fresh flavoursome and varied menu. Staff very attentive and the ambience was good. It was not expensive but it was a classy menu......The portions are not huge but were enough for us but may not suit a teenager.....loved it.
