Things to do in Zamora

The name of this restaurant is a bit confusing; is it "Sancho 2" as it says on the printed materials or is it "Restaurante La Marina" as it says on the bill? But the photos in these reviews show that this is definitely the same place we went to. The food here is first rate and so is the service. We shared a "pickled partridge salad with mushrooms and hearts of palm" --- mmmmmmmmmm good. The "suckling lamb" was actually lamb sweetbreads, but my partner was very happy with them. My monkfish and artichoke was lovely, too. The entrees did not come with much in the way of vegetables, so we called for an order of grilled veggies and they appeared very quickly -- a very fresh selection of excellent items. We shared the "chocolate ingot" with gelato -- this was also fairly good but unexciting. The wines were very reasonably priced and this mitigated the somewhat high prices for some of the entrees. In a small city in Spain it's pretty unusual to pay â¬21 (nearly $30) for an entree.Total bill -- â¬86 or $115The place itself is a very large room. The decor is nice and the tables have nice linens, but cosy it isn't.

es el restaurante del hotel NH palacio del duero
We were staying in the NH Hotel and it being bitterly cold and our being unable to face the climb up to the centre of town, we elected to eat in the Vinicola and were very happy with our decisionThe restaurant is a bit of a fish bowl and the memu was for the weekIt was especially translated into English, for us and was a three course set menuAmuse bouche - liver pate, figs and satsumas, was delicious A squash soup was followed by fish or meat and then a choice of pudding. All met with much satisfactionWe would definitely eat here again

Placed in the heart of Zamora, right in the historical area, Restaurante Agape offers a whole different variety of culinary proposals. Both at the Bar and Restaurant areas you will find a great range of 'tapas', pizzas and pasta cooked following the tradi

We enjoyed our few dishes/tapas - garlic prawns, meat and potato, fish and quite delicious white cheese ice-cream with walnuts made by the lady who I think was the owner. She said she didn't speak English and we don't speak Spanish however her English was better than our Spanish and we managed. The place was spotlessly clean, good atmosphere and if we're back we will return. A very pleasant find, close to the parador.

Stopped here today for lunch, had the weekend menu of the day. Superb, a mixture of starters to share then a delicious entrecote, local meat "Aliste", followed by a mixture of desserts to share. Included a bottle of excellent toro wine, only house wine but very good, water and coffee. Great meal for only 25⬠per head. Will definitely recommend and return one day. Service exceptional too.

We never expected to find such fine restaurant in a small town like Zamora in an unpretentious locale. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, Spanish cuisine but different from your usual dishes. Mr Meneses himself attended us in an unusual evening when he was short in staff. Prices were very reasonable. We donât hesitate to recommend this little gem!

Dropped in for dinner and they looked after us brilliantly We had a salad starter which we shared and then we had steak and chips which was cooked exactly how we wanted The lady from th kitchen was very helpful over gluten free and the guys behind the bar are really helpful and recommended a great bottle of red wine which wasnât too expensive We sat in the bar afterwards and had coffee and brandyâs We would definitely return and it was good valueNot much English spoken but we love that anyway as itâs better practice for our Spanish
