I have been here twice and the food is pretty good. Do not expect a top class meal but it is of good quality and tasty. Prices are acceptable. The staff does not speak English but they have a menu in English. Service is pleasant and swift. The restaurant is based in a basement, so no windows to the outside. During both my visits there was live music. Nice but not if you go there for a business dinner.

management are trying to make this something that it will never be and that is a good restaurant. Vastly over inflated prices and very tasteless food. Better going to the Ruben Hotel Mishka Pub or Lounge 8 in Plaza Hotel.

We go there, because it's at a convenient spot for us. Otherwise I probably wouldn't pick this place. However, overall, it's nice. It's cozy and friendly. We usually order pancakes and tea, the kids get French fries. Pretty much because there's not much of a choice for a simple meal. The food is ok, sometimes takes a little longer than you'd expect. I like that they are always friendly and will always figure out a way to get us seats, even when they are quite busy. On the downside, there's always some annoying musical TV shows playing on big screens and the waiters forget orders sometimes, and the food is not the best in town. I wouldn't say it's a play I recommend going to, but I did recommend it a few times because it's a very convenient location at times.

I visited the cafe several times with my wife for lunch. It provides good service and tasty food. During lunch time you can select a lunch set. Usually you can choose a soup out of 3, a salad out of three, a main course out of 3, plus a couple piece of bread. No drink included in the set. Price is 350 rubles.All is tasty and fresh. The only bad thing is smoke.....

I had my lunch here several times in March 2019. My wife took me to here. It is a good buffet. Food quality is perfect! Choice of two soups, 2-3 sides, 2-3 main dishes, 2-3 desserts, 2 types of bread, 2-3 drinks.Price is 450 rubles per person.The only thing I would like to underline - most likely, the price cannot be affordable for daily visits for most of people living in the town.

I did not have high expectations for the food from a hotel restaurant, but over the course of a week long stay, I had a couple of pretty decent pizzas, a good burger, and good chicken wings, with the only sub-par dish being a chicken parmigiana. Most of the menu was very "American" food.This will not be confused with gourmet food, but it was convenient, filling, and very inexpensive (large pizza and chicken wings for $15 USD). The staff is not the most friendly in the world, but they probably do get tired of talking to ex-pats and visitors who do not speak the language (and probably try to hit on them a bit too often - so being a little stand-off-ish may just be a survival mechanism). They were efficient and accurate when taking orders and the food was quick to be made.

The reason I usually avoid going to this place is because it is too noisy, the sound system they have installed is pounding on the walls and makes it feel more like a night club chill out area. The food is ok, but it's not the best place to go if you are looking for a good meal. I guess it's more like student get together type of place, but then you would expect a different price range, so that is one more thing that I think is off.

I have been in this restaurant many times, and truly believe that this is the best place for fine dining in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The atmosphere is pretty private and romantic there, waiters are attentive and always make good and fair recommendations, food is just great. They have their own farm and I think their own suppliers of seafood, so food there is always very fresh. At the same time, they have a fairly large menu, and they apply very creative approach to many dishes, that they also describe in the menu in a very creative way. Seafood is just great, local meats are great, a lot of salads are simply art, and desserts that they make are probably one of the best I have had anywhere.
