Having been at the beach till mid afternoon -we decided to have late lunch and the first place we found was Il Kcina Ghawdxija - very glad we did, sat at a table overlooking the sea, and had a lovely lunch, sad there were no fishcakes left but otherwise all six of us had a lovely meal - my steak was huge, very tender, and cooked perfectly and everyone else was also very happy with their food :) good choice of wine too. Service was friendly and helpful - a lovely end to our day.

We stayed in the hotel San Andrea which is linked to the restaurant. Food and service were good, varied menu. Would visit the restaurant again. However, bar opening times not as advertised.

The Restaurant's name originates from the late Grandfather's nickname - Ta' Talija. Tony portelli was famous for his life in Xlendi. Tony had a small shop where he served soft drinks, biscuits and food to people in Xlendi. Tony was also famous for his rab
We ate at Talija on a number of occasions during our stay in Gozo . The food whether a snack or main meal was excellent and the portions were ample to say the least. This along with the polite friendly staff made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience.Always a good sign when a restaurant is frequented by the locals . Would definitely recommend this establishment.

HISTORY OF THE RESTAURANT The Stone Crab restaurant is located in a unique spot in the picturesque fishing village of Xlendi Bay, Gozo. It is situated at the water`s edge and sheltered by high rising adjacent cliffs. The restaurant opened its doors for bu
We were staying nearby and were rebuffed by another restaurant because we didnât have reservation. Stone Crab was next door and gave us a waterfront table for two , no dramas. From the first contact, the wait staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and made great suggestions. We began with complimentary bruschetta and ordered crab stuffed tortellini to share as an entree. The serving was huge and I thought that two servings had been delivered but no. All meals are extremely generous portions. Husband had duck with plum sauce and I had a daily specialty. Both were delicious with more than we could eat . We couldnât fit in dessert, however Complimentary drinks were offered and we had Cointreau and Lemoncello. A fabulous waterfront setting, warm and welcoming staff and great value dining

I keep going to this restaurant on occasions and it is simply the best...on both formal or informal occasions. They offer great food to everyone even with dietary requirements such as myself...Coeliac and lactose intolerant.Best place for view and quiet dining in Xlendi with being perfect in both Summer and Winter

Visited the restaurant with my family. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. The whole family loved it and could not wait to come back. All the food was delicious and exceptional value. Quality was far better than some of the fancy restaurants in Victoria and a fraction of the price. Fresh fish would be my top choice but given our multiple visits nothing on the menu was a disappointment!
