Coming from Slovakia myself and knowing the way us Europeans cook, I was so exited to see this opening. Itâs a small cozy little restaurant with a sweet ambiance right in the centre of Hertford. Easily accessed and parking in Asda is brilliant. They always do set of the day for a week which brings about a breath of fresh air with such a small menu, nonetheless, like a taste of heaven. Iâve had many thins of the menu but barszcz (beetroot soup) has to be my favourite and you should definitely try it.Two adults eating soup and main each with a dessert, alcoholic drink and water = £30. Bargain.Cheesecake is to die for and at £7 for two the portions are massive and inexpensive.Best place is you want some nice hot food that is freshly made.A note to the kitchen: Dziekuje!!

This was my first visit to Lussmanns, I had heard a number of good things about the restaurant and I was not disappointed. The staff were welcoming and friendly and were very informative when it cam t selecting the wines. The food was well presented and excellent, it also was good to the that fish was sustainably sourced. I will be returning.Thank you for your review. We were lucky enough to win a three course meal fro two at a Christmas Disco not expecting too much from a conference / meeting / contractor type of HotelTo be fair its a lovely spot in WGC certainly good enough for the winning England team in 1966. It was clean modern and staff were attentive and smiley.The dining room was empty .....yes really empty at 7.30pm where were all the Hotel guests. We chose to eat in the bar for a bit of atmosphere. Mussels, smoked duck, steak and sea bass, all pretty good, tasty and well presented. There were three menus to choose from................why !! It cant possibly all be fresh I would suggest they shorten the fussy menu and come up with less complicated option to try and encourage guests to stay in and eat in their restaurant with its lovely garden rather than going elsewhere for a cheaper altenative. Come on Best Western you can do so very much betterThank you for taking the time to review us. We hope to see you back soon

We visit the Terranova a few times each year as we live locally. I last reviewed it in 2012 when I said a menu refresh was overdue. It still is!!!That said, food is well presented and good quality. Staff vary in their approachableness (occasionally a bit grumpy).Only real criticism would be that starters seem to arrive almost before the order gets taken to the kitchen!! A few minutes between ordering and eating would be nice - has happened on every visit!!! We don't want fast food!!!

We booked Auberge Du Lac after a friend had bought me a gift voucher for a 3 course lunch there. From start to finish the service was amazing & they went out of there way to help me as my leg was in plaster. All 3 courses were so delicious & we were also bought out bread & butter & some delicious canapés made by the amazing chef. We sat outside to eat to admire the view which was great apart from the wasps which isnât the restaurants fault. We would definitely recommend this restaurant & would definitely go back again. Went here midweek for lunch with a colleague. It's a fair time since I hac last been but everything was much as I remembered. Lots of wood, reasonably spacious and a pleasant enough atmosphere. Food was very nice, service good. I had risotto pollo which I thoroughly enjoyed and my colleague seemed content with his inferno pizza. All round, good value for money.

When I first came to Welwyn Garden City, on my first day, I ate here and fell in love with the place. Last night, after doing some shopping, went to have something to ear. The food is still wonderful. The wine perfectly chilled. But...the service seemed to be poor and very disorganised, although every single one of their waitresses was polite and keen to do things well.The new manager walking up and down the place with his hands crossed over behind his back, observing all seemed to be the âman behind the changesâ. What a loss!

A family lunch with my brother and his wife was excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for Laurent and his staff. Two of us had the fish platter, really plentiful and tasty, those with a roast loved it. Accompanying wine chosen by Laurent was ideal. We will be back.
