A small restaurant in a unique rural setting. A farm to fork concept with a modern edge. The ethos is of sustainability and conscientious sourcing. The restaurant is a beautifully converted milking parlour with a relaxed feel. service is not rushed and fo
First visit here on new years eve and had the 6 course tasting menu. Have to say we were blown away by the standard of the food and the service was fantastic. We did find the decor a little stark and the ambience lacking for a new years eve. Thought it would all finish after midnight as new years eve but we paid and left by 11.30 as the evening had ended. Finding it can be tricky as the sat nav doesn't pin point it so suggest using Google maps if going in the dark!

The Deck Crew wanted to create a food experience based on our two favourite things, food and travel, in order to create the type of restaurant that we would want to visit again and again. The Deck Bar and Grill, Restaurant offers an exciting concept infus

Classically trained under Sam Moody at Michelin Star Restaurant, The Priory, Head Chef, Joe Simmonds has a genuine passion for developing menus that use fresh local ingredients.
We arrived at the hotel, we had booked three rooms, two deluxe doubles and the suite. Everyone in the hotel was friendly and helpful. The rooms were great, very large with very comfortable beds and an excellent bathroom with double sink, shower and bath and at all times wonderful hot water. We had a wonderful view of the sea and even though it was too cold to sit on the balcony we enjoyed watching the surf on the sea and the ebb and flow of the tides. Unfortunately for us, as I mentioned before the weather was not kind to us, so the outside terrace seating for the bar could not be used. So it did tend to get quite crowded in the bar in the evening, however we used the smaller bar at the rear and just took our drinks in there. The reception staff were quite happy for us to use the smaller bar and made sure in was cosy and the music was turned on low. We had booked for bed, breakfast and evening meal. Breakfast were lovely, every combination you could possibly want was there. For the evening meal we found them particularly obliging, allowing us too ask in advance for meals not listed on their menu. As we had a two and a half year old with our party, they were really helpful and even when the restaurant was fully booked they would serve her very quickly, the rest of us were quite willing to wait our turn. We were made to feel part of the family. It was a very enjoyable stay.
