I was here one evening after walking about in Treppenviertel. I went inside with my friend, to our surprise there were quite some people in the restaurant, alas it didn't feel lonely and you had that vibe that something was happening. It is an Italian restaurant so the guys say all the Italian things like "prego, grazie and buena cera". It does not come off as pretentious, but there was one guy walking about with a "hard" face not saying a word serving, taking dishes. I assume this guy does not speak german. Still I would find it nice if he learned two words like "Can I take it?" or "you are welcome". Main dishes range between 22-30â¬, pasta dishes about 20â¬. Our bill for two people, one bottle of water and desert landed on 64â¬. It was tasty, fun and atmospheric. I can only recommend.

Thomas Martin and his team will continue to interpret original French haute cuisine in their own inimitable way. The menu will be based on superior, regionally sourced products, prepared with precision and contemporary techniques. The main product is the
Most of the dishes served here reminded me of something I had eaten elsewhere, the difference being that they were more fine-tuned here; Jacobs demonstrates how good ideas can be refined to unexpected heights. Excellent selection of wines by the glass (thanks to Coravin), attentive and very competent service. I was there on a Thursday evening, which afforded the added pleasure of live piano music in the background. Impressive river views.

Top tip: take the 10 o'clock Hanseferry "Kleine Freiheit" from Landungsbrücken in Hamburg to Blankenese, spend an hour or so wandering through the lanes admiring the old fisher Cottages, then have an excellent fish lunch, with good wine accompaniment, before taking the 1.50 p.m. Ferry back to Hamburg, which includes a tour of the Container Harbour. Great value for Money (â¬18 for 2 hour Ferry trip) and the fish lunch was excellent!

The Mühle Jork in Borstel is something quite special with its haute cuisine and historic feel. Guests enjoy a whole range of culinary delights as well as the wonderful hospitality of the owners Kerstin Schulze and Danny Riewoldt. The restaurant is within
We came here for lunch. The lunch menu consists of two starters, four mains and two (three?) desserts. We had an excellent red wine with different starters and mains. The food is mainly locally sourced. An excellent olive oil with bread basket arrived first. A ginger orange soup was next, which was tasty, but much better was my neighbors choice of beetroot, rilettes and roasted hazelnuts, which really shone. Main was beef entrecôte, accompanied by herby mash and diverse root veg. It was quite a lot of meat, so I couldn't finish it. The root veg was tasty, as was the mash, which was benefiting from a lovely olive oil. Dessert was a chocolate mousse with oranges. It was too sweet for my taste, and I was happy I could switch it for my neighbors cassis and apricot sorbet. If you have the chance try the sorbet - it has a fantastic texture, almost creamy. All in all a very pleasant dinner, although you have to be able to afford the prices.

This was probably the best dinner I ever had. I had seen many highly decorated places, but never before have the expectations been exceeded lit at Seven Seas. I won't write about the food, s it was just for a different world in all aspects.Service was extremly attentive and friendly.Except for one bottle, we did leave the selection of the wines to the sommelier and have been extremly happy with his choices.

This place is famous for welcoming ships into the port of Hamburg.Every time a big ship passes they say hello and play the national anthem, followed by detailed technical information about the ship.Big terrace, prices are fairly high, service was good and friendly. All looks pretty new, like recently renovated. It started raining, but 10 minutes before they had closed a transparent curtain, so you still could see the ships very well. Our kids adored the place and we stayed for a good hour or so.One minus point is you have to pay 0,70⬠per hour for the parking. Do not forget to present your ticket to the service, otherwise it is 2⬠per hour. I guess that due to a lack of public parking in the area they need to close their parking off, but it should be inclusive for customers. All in all an interesting classic, but I am not sure if I will be back.

this restaurant was recommended by out hotel where we passed 4 nights in Wedel for work; after the first night we came back for each dinner in this lovely restaurant, German typical. There is not English menu and waitresses speck little English, but with your mobile you can look for translations easily. Dishes are not too heavy or overdressed, which at the beginning we feared. Meat recommended. I found reasonable prices considering the quality, but check them before entering anyway

We've been here now three times, each time because of the great location. It's just a stone's throw from the sandy Elbe beach and you can watch the huge container vessels passing by. The terrace is a comfortable space to catch some rays and enjoy the scenery.Elbe 1 offer some nice dishes and each time we have been very happy with the quality, mains cakes and coffee all good. The service was consistently bad, though. Staff is friendly, but often appear not to have a clue. They ignore customers (not just us) until you call the over, they forget orders, mix things up, take a long time to serve and generally get the wrong end of the stick, it seems. It is such a shame as Elbe1 ticks all the other boxes. The bad service is something that sticks and is hard to forgot. We'll give them another chance as we like the location.

Die besten Steaks, das beste Fleisch, toller Mittagstisch, exklusiver Brunch, leckere Cocktail in Hamburg-Blankenese
The place is just another German restaurant, but the quality of the food is beyond expectation. The polite and friendly staff makes the place one of my favourites while in Hamburg. Been here alone and with colleagues too and left with extreme satisfaction. Will revert soon.
