Things to do in Vordernberg
Our lunch at âGasthaus Lenggerâ started with a positive surprise: an amazing and truly old bar parlor, whose ceiling rested on a huge and somewhat sagged beam. The dark wooden wall paneling created a cozy atmosphere. The building as a whole seemed to be an unspoiled gem of traditional rural architecture.Tradition also characterized the meat-heavy menu, which comprised several liver dishes, not to be found very often nowadays. However, some concessions were made to todayâs cuisine, such as salads with roast turkey breast and pike-perch fillet, respectively. Prices were affordable indeed, given that with a single exception all dishes cost less than 10 euros.Service was friendly and left nothing to desire. After only a moderate waiting time we received our meals. Portion sizes were reasonable, not as excessive as sometimes encountered in countryside restaurants. While the quality of the food was good, it was prepared and presented in a boring manner. It simply lacked seasoning and appeal. That is a pity. With a more professional and creative cook âGasthaus Lenggerâ could become a gastronomic gem rather than just an architectural one as today.

Definetly on a very nice location with nice service but the food offer is quite limited. But if in a need for a quick snack (like sausage or a sandwich) its a perfect place to stop by.

Delicious but .....This restaurant would receive a high score for the quality of food but an attempt to arrange the tourists in the final account with the addition of dishes that were not ordered and served without reservation. It is a shame. On the account add an extra to the grilled meat dish (the cost of the dish is about 14 euros) 5 euros for a mushroom sauce that does not appear in the menu and is not ordered. In addition to not return the excess is not respectable. The waiter must return the excess and the guest will decide about the service charge. The waiter took the sum and decided there was no need to return the surplus. He decided it was a service fee.  We thought to return the next day but try to cheat you and you feel very bad and there is no desire to return to this restaurant despite the quality of the food.I recommend restaurant owners to think about this behavior. In this way it is easy to lose customers
it is a very nice camping spot if you visit the gruener see, so i would highly recommend this camping. the staff was not as nice as it would be expected, but ok, we would sleep here again...
After being to Gruener see now for 4 times can definetly recommend this place, ac choice of food and quality is better than at the lake itself. We have come to the restaurant around 13h so it was not so crowded and service was therefore quite fast. Soups are amazing as well is the meat and salads:D
Revisited my home town of Trofiach and stopped into this restaurant. Food was great, friendly staff, nice decor. After talking and sharing why we here, we found out that one of the waitress knew my home and exchanged many memories of my past. It was sointeresting to hear. Recommend it to anyone who wants a home town feeling

Regional, seasonal and fair are the products used in our kitchen - you will enjoy it. Our own brewed beers and ales are completing the set of pleasure at our restaurant. The owner Reini Schenkermaier is brewer, Beer-Sommelier and Austrias first member in
Lovely little pub, but with only one "menu offering" during a massive event? Not everyone wants Wiener schnitzel all the time... we did without & went elsewhere for dinner.Dear Koverton, sorry that you didn't like our selection of foods or if the choice was to small for you. We change our menu every week as we are specialised in cooking with regional and seasonal products from our farmers all around. And we are cooking every dish fresh - no convenience or so - this restricts our possibility for a long list on the menu. But one thing you couldn't never have found on our menu: "Wiener Schnitzel" - we never offered that since our opening five years ago. If you come again to the Erzberg-Rodeo next year let us know, what you want - we will try.Regards Reini

We had cheese ravioli, salad and Kaiserschmarrn, which were all very good. Their menu is quite extensive and looked yummy. Not a lot for vegetarians though. The waitress was super friendly and the food came unexpectedly quick. We often order Kaiserschmarrn when in Austria and it usually takes quite a long time before you get it. So this was a pleasant surprise. We'll definitely go back to the schwarze Adler.
