Renovated structure in medieval-style tavern and terrace
We stayed in a hotel across the street so we walked to this restaurant. I got walnut sauce on ravioli which seemed novel and it was wonderful. There were many novel pasta dishes to choose from and it was hard to make up one's mind. I believe it was the chef who came out and talked to us in English and said he had been in NYC many years ago. My husband got a risotto dish which he liked. There is parking and an outside eating area.

Tried to find a vegetarian restaurant in Domodossola on the mobile application but this place didn't turn up. We discovered it by chance on the lovely Piazza del Mercato. Nicely presented plate, reasonably priced, open wine, vegan desserts and great espresso made for a very enjoyable meal. The place is small, seating about 25, so we were lucky to find a table for two at lunch time. It helps if you speak Italian. Since Domodossola is a cute little town only an hour's drive away, we'll certainly do an Arnold Schwarzenegger :-)

Although is not located in the main Mercato Square but just in the proximity of it, itâs definitely worth a stop. Good food at a moderate price which combines Southern Italian dishes with more typical local cuisine. Pizzas are delicious and quite unusual in their ideation.

This is a pleasant, a bit old fashioned restaurant in the old town. After we got seated, the waitress passed by and lit the candle at our table. We were given a menu-card and then saw that people next door were served completety different meals - apparently this was the 'table d'hôte' for the ones, who are staying here, since this restaurant is also a guesthouse. No problem for us get that dinner for a set price as well. It consisted of several excellent rounds, but all together much too filling. First came a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Next was served a Cima di Rappa (a Rapini) Tart, then Carne Secca with olives and two kind of pickled mushrooms, next was a Risotto con Asparagus, followed by Ravioli con Ricotta, before the main course 'Brasato with Vegetables' arrived. After that it went on with a Mango Ice Cream and a Cake (which we left out). The wine-list we got to see only on the second evening here. The first time, when asking for some wine, they just brought us a 'Barbera d'Alba' 1998. Thrying it, I found it rather strange, but accepted it. Especially my wife then thought that this wine is not drinkable and so we returned it, without getting charged for it. Instead I had a 'Grappa' in the end with the waitress asking me, if I wanted it 'Secco o Morbido', thus a bit fruity.

First of all, you should know that the menu is in Italian only and the waiters do not speak any other language. We had a risotto which was "OK" and then by girlfriend had lamb and I had deer. Both meat dishes were excellent !

We have been advised by local friends, and it was a very good choice. Fish food is what they have recommended for, and this restaurant was up to standard. Elegant, careful service, well attended also mid week. Price is adequate to the standard.

We really enjoyed our lunch. The food was great and lots of other people enjoying meals too. Not all tourists like us. We had menus for the day. Very imaginative and good price. We want to go again. Stay over night and enjoy a night meal. The ambiance was great.

Based on my previous positive experience in July, I decided to come back while driving back home. This time, I ordered the crudo(raw fish platter) and was excellent & fresh. Pasta with lobster sauce as main was good also. Add the ultra friendly service( I am non Italian speaker), and you would understand why this restaurant located a bit remote is almost full during lunch time on a Thursday.. I will return.

I actually reviewed this restaurant at the same time as the accommodation - smiley friendly service, food priced about right, house wine good value, menu only available in Italian. Shame it wasn't warm and less windy as it would have been lovely to eat with everyone else, student style, on the long trestle table out on the terrace
