We had a very nice, but expensive meal one night with friends. The Chateaubriand was delicious and well presented and the bottled wine, though expensive, was delightful. However, as we weren't allowed a simple carafe of tap water like everywhere else in Obergurgl when you order a bottle of wine we didn't return! The price of two bottles of water spoilt the evening!!Dear Beebs11, First, thank you for your feedback on our restaurant. We are delighted that you enjoyed your night at the Hexenkuchl. Your complaint about the water will certainly give us grounds to exert ourselves in finding a structural solution. Kind Regards,Your team of the Hexenkuchl

We called ahead and ordered pizzas to takeaway to our apartment. They were made freshly to order and were just coming out of the oven when we arrived. They were delicious and reasonably priced for the quality of food.

Great for lunch - they donât take reservations at busy times so get a good spot early! Pizza is delicious and finger food also v tasty (onion rings, mozzarella sticks, breaded prawns and chicken wings). Good service and a lovely place to sit in the sun.

Very nice and peacefull place. Austrian food specialiced on vegetarian winter-soups for example carrott-ginger soup but also serving the clasics like Wiener Schnitzel and Käsespätzle. Hidden from the crowded slopes at the rotmoos-valley.
We had lunch here. Turned up at the sign on the piste, called the number and within a few minutes a friendly chap on a skidoo appeared and pulled us to the hut - an exciting, fun ride. Those not so happy with being towed can sit on. The location and views are amazing and different to the norm. Food was very good and all reasonably priced. The ski/walk back wasn't as bad as feared. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

Staggering building and had a seat by the window in the upstairs lounge. Views were stunning in and out of cloud. Two coffees and cakes and a Hugo came to â¬32.50Liked the look of the tapas menu that others were having which was â¬54. Didnât do the Spectre experience for which they wanted â¬22ph.

Wonderful lunch in the sun just above the Hohe Mut mid-station.Huge variety of food (both traditional or otherwise - the ribs were great!) and drinks at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and efficient. A great place to relax and spend an afternoon out in the sun if warm, or tucked up inside at a cosy booth when the snow sets in. Thoroughly recommended.
Waiting long for the waiter, 1 only. Not speaking a word of English, menu being in German. Not willing to please the customer. I ordered a salad that came with their dressing already and the waitress was not willing to change it with my own choice of dressing. Do not go there even if you are tired after the hike or skying.
Klar, kennt man.

Quite a remote place, best accessible from the Tiefenbachbahn. From there it is mostly down a steep mountainside on a marked trail for experienced mountain hikers. Once in the hut, the food and the view is wonderful. However, there are two ways home: back up the steep mountain side, or further down in the valley. We did latter, and boy, it is long and arduous. Would we do it again? Yes, please.

Winter hiked up there from Vent on a nice sunny day. Restaurant is part of what apparently is the highest permanently inhabitated housing complex in Austria. We had a good fare of Tyrolean specialties, but I think they make reasonably good pizza too. Family-like, atmosphere, cheerful service.
