Discover Restaurants offering the best European food in Vatican City, Lazio, Italy. Sure, Vatican City is tiny—110 acres—but it houses the world's largest Catholic church (St. Peter's Basilica) and has perhaps the best collection of artistic masterpieces in the world (the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's Pieta, the Laocoon Group, etc.). And maybe only 800 people live here, but one of them's the Pope. It's a pretty good argument for quality over quantity.

My friends and I travel to Rome once a year, and although it's hard to find bad Italian food, it's really special when we find something this good. We were so impressed with the food and the service, we came back again for more! Highly recommend the antipasta - we had the meatballs (twice), the Crostone cacio ova e tartufo, the Carpaccio di baccalà , insalata di puntarelle, and it was all excellent. They did not have an English menu so it was a bit of an adventure, but the waiters are very attentive and friendly. They specialize in olive oils from different regions and you can purchase them there as well. I also loved that they brought little "taste treats" before the meal - delicious! Extensive olive oil and wine menu! We will certainly go there again next year!

The restaurant doesn't look exceptional from outside but once you try the dishes, you change your mind.We only tried the main dishes: spaghetti with meat balls and the lasagna. Delicious! The waiters are friendly. Price are average for Rome. Conclusion: near of the Vatican, this restaurant worth to stop and eat there!

The food here was delicious - itâs quite a limited menu, but the food is still really good! Thereâs a lovely relaxed vibe here, and the ambience/atmosphere of the restaurant makes it an enjoyable evening! Also, I havenât been anywhere yet with such a wide section of red wines - so if you enjoy a glass of red I would definitely recommend. The waiting staff were also attentive and helpful when we had questions about the menu. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Rome!

Pasta factory. We served our pasta, mediterranean and gourmet. With traditional roman dishes. Also we served fresh vegetebles, dessert and main course.
I cannot imagine a dining experience more perfect than this. The ambience was so cozy and intimate. The owner is a wonderful man who is so much fun to talk to. And the food... simply incredible. I ordered the Carbonara and it was the best meal I've ever had Rome

Very close to te Vatican museum, a typical Roman fast food. You can taste the traditional food of Rome like Porchetta, specialities from Italy like Prosciutto crudo San Daniele, buffalo mozzarella. You can drink draft beer or a glass of best Italian wine

We went today there and the food was absolutely amazing! I had some pasta with clams (10 euro) and my boyfriend lasagna (8 euro). They were both on the menu of the day and it was the best choice we could have made. And then, we got an extraordinary tiramisu (I have no words to describe it - I do not usually eat tiramisu, but this one... I could not stop ). I think we are going back for sure. They also have very good artizanal beer (5 euro). A must try!

After Vatican Museums we went to Pizza Zizza. Worth every cent. Can't believe how good it can be beside bussy street, small tables. They treat you like a family. They brought us everything we asked. Mixed pizza platter, some extra slices, some taste examples.... After all that rubber duck sound when you leave some tip is just awesome. Roberto is crazy guy who makes great Pizza.

Popped in for a snack after a long tour of The Vatican. Only had a Lasagna but it was the best one I had the whole time we were in Rome.
