After having visited La Garde Adhemar which is an adorable village/town we stopped for lunch at L'absinthe. We had the choice between outside or inside and since it was quite a windy day and that I was with my 92 year old mother we chose inside. It took a while to get 5 people the decide what to eat, most of us changing our minds several times as we would have liked to eat the lot...We settled on charcuterie and salads for starters. Very very good. Typical French provencal food. Then some of us had steaks, well cooked (saignant for the French, probably rare for the Australians!), and some of us had absolutely delicious fish. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the personnel extremely helpful and "happy"looking. All in all we spend a wonderful day in the village and at lunch. It's well worth going there.

We came across this quaint little restaurant and truly was spectacular. The waiter spoke family good English, explicated the menu to us and suggested some excellent dishes. Portions were huge!! Very generous servings and as our waiter said 'made with love', which it was. Great value for our dinner, very clean venue and very tasty dishes. We ordered a huge salad, as I was craving fresh legumes, the mini ravioli's with fresh truffles and my husband ordered the veal T-bone steak with a mushroom sauce. All this for Euros 50!Truly fantastic! Great service! Very tasty and great value!! Definitely worth a visit.

We had a wonderful noonday formule in the enclosed and shaded courtyard. The waiter knew the menu and ingredients and patiently answered all our questions. The food was perfect and he made suggestions for appropriate wine pairings. My wife had a cold pea soupâcreamy and rich followed by stuffed chicken Provençale. I had a chicken pate followed by short ribsâslow cooked and tender with a reduction sauce. Dessert was a lemon meringue deconstruction for my wife and chocolate terrine ganache for me. 88 euros with 2 glasses of wine and 2 large coffees. We will definitely return.

Very occasionally you have the privilige to be in the right company of friends, sitting in a beautiful restaurant eating top quality food combined with excellent wines while receiving fantastic service. This was such an occasin and scored the perfect 10 for me!We were welcomed and escorted to our table by very friendly staff. The restaurant is airy and classy. We had a big round table and comfy chairs, with ample space for our dog to lay down and relax while immediately a bowl of water was brought. We all opted for the 4 course menu du Colombier. I had the Truite Fario as a starter. The food was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic: the perfect ten. The second course, being Saint Pierre, was good but less spectaculair, let's say an 8/10. The cheese trolley was nice with a good variety of well ripened cheeses. Again an 8/10. Then a nice pre desert followed by a delicious Sphere au chocolat Valhrona Nyango. Back to 10/10 again with this spectacular plate of greatness. Even the coffee was perfect with excellent mignardises as company. Together with all of this we had a good Vire Clesse, and a great Auxey Duresses and Crozes Hermitage. The staff was hands on without too much presence, and we received great, friendly service. What a fantastic place this is. I would love to return here to enjoy this restaurant and food again while experiencing the hotel part of the venue. This was truly one to remember!

Itâs time to put Clair de la Plumeâs Bistro on the TripAdvisor map. Even though it shares the charming location with the Gastronomique it has different opening hours and a different menu. I wonder how many of the, as of today, 610 reviews for the Michelin-starred Gastronomique have actually been meant for the Bistro â I know of at least one, written by yours truly two years agoâ¦Our party of six consisted of three generations, and we all enjoyed our lunch thoroughly. Four of us the delicious three-course lunch which was a feast for the eye and for the palate, the 4-year old the houseâs version of French fries (more wedges than fries actually), and the 1-year old the magnificent staircase into the hotel, which she went up and down on all fours how many times, keeping parents and grandparents alert throughout the lunch. We were very grateful that such extracurricular activities were possible and not frowned upon by anyone â probably another distinction between the relaxed Bistro and the noble Gastronomique.I should add that less than 30 Euros for a three-course lunch of such outstanding quality feels like a real bargain.Weâll be back next year.Dear Madam, Dear Sir,Many thanks for your review posted on Tripadvisor.I hope the pleasure of welcoming you again at Le Clair de la Plume.Warm regards,Jluc VALADEAU

Although we were extremely lucky to get a table on request (we arrived upon opening), we recommend booking in advance as people were being turned away as early as 20:00. It's popularity is clear: welcoming, with delightful menus to choose from, and what appeared to be an excellent wine selection. Our meals included plenty of local produce, but I think the highlight was my Wife's Aberdeen Angus fillet, which she felt was the best she'd ever had. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and we enjoyed our 2.5 hours there! My only regret is arriving still in our travelling clothes, as the restaurant deserved finer clothing, though, as per French custom, we were never made to feel that our attire was inappropriate.

A family operation with few dishes that are well done, with a warm hospitality and nice outdoor setting. Definitely worth a try: tapenade, scallops, ravioles. Authentic.

This is a restaurant offering really high standard of cuisine. Family run with husband who is chef and producing really exceptional dishes. We dine here often and have always had a good meal. Highly recommended.

We were routed to Les Mejeonnes Restaurant in Valaurie by the staff of a restaurant in Grignan which, like all other restaurants there on a rainy and thundery evening, was full on the evening we wanted to go. Les Mejeonnes was a pleasant surprise. Service was very attentive and friendly. We took the smaller of two available menus, and were very pleased with our starters and our main course. There was also a menu for children. The wine we chose was from a local producer and very enjoyable. Both the manu and the wine were very good value for money. If we're back in the area, we'd happily return.
