Reviews on European food in Usti nad Labem, Bohemia, Czech Republic. Ústí nad Labem (Czech pronunciation: [ˈuːsciː ˈnad labɛm] ( listen)), formerly known by its German name Aussig, is the 7th-most populous city of the Czech Republic. It is the capital of its eponymous region and district. Ústí is situated in a mountainous district at the confluence of the Bílina and Elbe rivers. It is a major industrial center and, besides being an active river port, is an important railway junction.

I had Norwegian salmon with roasted veggies and potatoes. It was most delicious, not too high in cholesterol, and not in need of any salt and pepper. Wine was great, the others drank beer and liked it as well. A bit noisy in this under-stairs room, but ok. Very delicious, really.
If you like a casino, you can go there. Otherwise it a a location in the centre. Good clean rooms. Rather good breakfast. Good parking under hotel. I will book again.
They are the BEST in town for the casual dining. They are talented in preparing variety of salad (at least three kinds everyday! ), soup and main dishes (around three kinds + the classics such as deep fried cheese and french fries). Fish is offered some days only, and they are delicious. No other restaurants in Decin offer such variety and tasty meal in a casual, friendly setting. The chef knows how to season and use fresh ingredients. The price is very reasonable. With a drink, salad and main course, it is around 5-8 Euro.It is a self-service place, so you queue to order your meal, pay first, pick up your food and clean up the table after the meal. More than good half of the seats are open-air on grass. The space is large enough for children to run around and come in with a buggy. The menu is more comprehensive during the dinner time. They are so successful, and I observe thier operations improve every year (e.g. fater service, more seating availability). This place is only open from spring to autumn, for lunch and diner and usually closed on Mondays. Some days they are closed without a notice. Just in front, there is a children's playground (free). They also offer soft cream, beer, coffee, strudle (kind of desert-pie) and mini baguette sandwiches. You can take away most of the food. Best to bring your container.Highly recommended if you are in Decin and have a relaxing, casual summer dinner!!
Located in Dubice just outside of Usti Nab Laden overlooking the fabulous Labe (Elbe) river. We offer traditional Czech meals along with some international favourites and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. In the summer there is also an outdoor terrac
Friends took me to this restaurant high above the river Elbe outside of Usti nad Labem in the Czech Republic. We had four different dinners, and all looked very good. I enjoyed the chicken bbq with wonderful potatoes and some veggies, plus a delightful dessert with hot raspberries, whipping cream, and ice cream. I enjoyed the red wine a lot, and the beer was also good. Nice atmosphere, though not spectacular. Still, a very nice restaurant on top of the mountains.

On the right bank of the river, a mile or two upstream of Usti. The setting is great with outside eating areas on both sides of the building as well as inside. Pick the shady riverside terrace if the weather is good. You'll find all the usual Czech dishes on the menu, and there are even a few vegetarian options. The food is nothing special, but service is slick and it's an attractive place for a lunch stop.

Restaurant Wagnerka is located at the entrance of the castle Strekov. I think the only added value this restaurant offers is the view of the valley. Everything else is very average. Meals were lower than average - "hradni gulasek" was not properly cooked (meat was chewy) and chicken snitzel smelled strangely.

It's probably one of the most popular restaurants in Usti, both among the locals and visitors. It offers mainly traditional Czech cuisine (greasy meat, heavy sauces, dumplings etc.), but you can also find some lighter (fish, grilled vegetables) and meat-free (traditional fried cheese) options. The place is fairly cheap (especially if you come from the West) and it has got a zone for non-smokers and a garden in spring and summer. As for minuses - some of the stuff are slow and grumpy - most of the regulars, including myself, have some bad memories connected with the waiters. But it's still one of the most recommendable restaurants in Usti nad Labem.

This restaurant is fine, non smoking place, the food is good but very expensive. Veal schnitzel with mashed potatoes more than 200 CZK and its nothing special. The staff is not so friendly. We have been there with 18 students and the staff was not helpful. Was quite arrogant. Beer is more than 35 CZK. You can find better places here.

A classical (?) czech "bierstube" with a variety of czech and international food on the menu. Excellent beer prices, best I have seen in Europe. But this is not a place for cheap meals, it is for the ambiance and the good food. English menus are available but staff speaks very little English. Our group had a great evening and I look forward being back soon.

Met some family members for early dinner there while visiting Usti nad Labem. The view is absolutely amazing, the service great. I had delicious sauteed vegetables with chunks of fresh goat cheese, family had roast duck entree, another one had the award winning Svickova dish, husband commented on its very good, rich taste. I would definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant for special occasions.
