I don't normally review restaurants, but really rate this place. We ended up here because not a lot else was open - and we were so glad we did. Amazingly good food (the bread is divine) and whereas I wouldn't normally go out of my way for vegetarian food, I would for this place. Everything is home-made and real thought has been put into the dishes. It was easily one of the best meals of our trip. Add to that the owner was on his own so did everything made it even more impressive.

Well-made dishes, rich aromas and flavors. Serving the sea and the land of national and international gastronomic delights to choose from at any time of the year. Of particular note the wide variety of fish cruso proposal selected from the top of the fish
Judging by other English-language reviews we read here, the management of Le Lampare al Fortino must entrust its English-speaking guests to waiter Gaetano Tassiello, who has done English-immersion working in London restaurants but whose heart is in warm and sun-drenched Puglia. His welcome was warm, his attention constant, and the high ceilings in the old fortification the restaurant occupies provide an uplift to match. Each course--from the antipasti served "on the house" to the spaghettone vicidomini (1st course) to the ombrina (a fish second course)--provided an unexpected twist on traditional themes, and each was without exception delicious. It's a restaurant best enjoyed on an expense account, but as an occasional special splurge it's even worth it out of your own pocket.Dear guest, many thanks for your kind words and positive feedback. Looking forward to have you back again. Best regards from all the staff.

I've had some great meals in Trani and our lunch here the other day ranks with the best. A newish addition to Trani's dining scene, Giosue and his chef have talent and imagination to spare, working with great ingredients and endless hospitality. We were the only diners, a bit past lunchtime on a weekday afternoon in early October, and were treated to a complimentary sip of sparkling wine with an amuse bouche of tiny potatoes and a blackened orange slice, then offered a bone dry chardonnay from the Salento. We shared a pasta with spigola and cedano, then grilled octopus with an array of vegetables and accompaniments, both plates tasting every bit as good as they looked! Too full for dessert, we'll back soon to try the rest of the menu! Grazie per il buon pranzo!

I only speak a little Italian, and struggled a bit with the menu here, but the waiter was very friendly and patient. At his suggestion, we went for the mixed appetizers, followed by a seafood pasta. The four appetizers were Octopus (char grilled), Squid (Grilled - served with a sauce that may have been chicory and fave bean - but I am not sure , Prawns (possibly with Pumpkin) and a fish mixture wrapped in Aubergine. Each was exquisite - beautifully prepared and superbly flavoured. Among the best seafood that I've ever eaten. The pasta was also very good.Highly recommended.

A la carte restaurant, located in the historic center of Trani, a short walk from the Castle and the Cathedral and surrounded by a sea smell. A small elegantly understated location that creates an intimate and magical to be lulled by the emotions of the c
Assuming you are, as were we, tourists visiting Trani and centered down around the scenic harbor, there are any number of restaurants readily to be seen as one strolls along the water. However, going a bit further away from the "action", one can reach Diavoletto Epicureo. We dined here with a group of friends and the chef took orders for each course before starting their preparation. The primi and secondi were wonderful, and the dolce options at the end were wonderful. It is a short distance from the cathedral.
