Tochni (Greek: Τόχνη; Turkish: Dohni or Taşkent) is a village located in the Larnaca District of Cyprus, about halfway between the cities of Larnaca and Limassol. Prior to 1974, Tochni had a mixed Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot population. In August 1974, 85 Turkish Cypriot inhabitants of this village and of neighboring villages were massacred by Greek Cypriot militias.

We came here on an ERASMUS trip to visit the local village, and were very distraught with what happened. We stopped by for a quick meal before an appointment we had on our schedule for 4 pm. We ordered at around 2 pm and the food didnât take overly long. Once the food was served we all started eating away without focusing too much on our food, however, some of the group members noticed something crunchy in their chips. A plate full of chips & ANTS!!!!! Maybe if it had been advertised we wouldâve chosen something else, but what a severely unhygienic meal. Once approached the staff offered to replace our chips, which the members assumed was an apologetic gesture, and believed a further discount was included. To follow, once asked for a discount, we were shouted at, the police was called on us, and we were made out to be liars in front of the police. Once the police arrived, the restaurant claimed there were no ants in our food. Luckily we had picture evidence and were proven right, and justice was served. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!1. You are within the 5% that comes to our shop and leaves dissatisfied. 2. You are reffering to chips but it was actually crisps which are crunchy anyway.3. The ants were found in a sealed packet of crisps and were tiny and dead that's why nobody in the kitchen noticed them.4. We had APOLOGISED IMMEDIATELY AND WE REPLACED THE CRISPS WITH FRESH CHIPS which you have consumed with pleasure. 5. YOU DECIDED that you didnt want to pay ANY of the 7 meals you had consumed even though the issue with the ants concerned only 3 of the meals. PROBABLY IT'S BECAUSE OF YOUR YOUNG AGE. Im sure in a few years you will think differently. Brgrds

Decided to pre visit and have a light lunch. Greek salad etc. Well the salad should be called Tomato Salad, very little else.It was poor.Nice setting overlooking the marina but they fancy themselves with their prices. Expensive fish and steak and lobster at â¬90 a kilo!To be avoided.

Diana fish restaurant is a well known seafood restaurant in Zygi and thus we were quite disappointed to see that it was over rated and quite disappointing. Our server seemed bored and unattentive, not friendly at all.The food was OK , not more and some of the dishes were prepared from frozen products ( which was not mentioned in the menu).

Hours of opening are seasonal, please call beforehand for more information before visiting.Thankyou Tasties!
Really cute place in traditional Lefkara with a homey feel. The food was good and the portions were grand. We ate lunch here but it is also a nice place to sit for an afternoon drink. There were people playing table games in the sunny courtyard and a selection of books in the corner. The staff were also really personable and kind.

We stayed in Tochni for 4 nights with our 3 year old daughter and had a great time! Guesthouse feels very authentic, staying in stone apartments with blue windows and wonderfull decorations, the staff is very nice, helpful and always ready to give advice, the food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious (we planned to cook but finally couldnt resist the menu :-). Views are beautifull and the village itself is full of charm. We used Tochni mainly as a base for trips, but you can also just relax at the pool. Accually we even met a couple from Limassol, who was simply escaping the summer beach crowds and they loved the place as well â¤ï¸
