Had not been here in a while and had a hankering for some German food. We were seated promptly. Very relaxed atmosphere. Good variety of lunch items on the menu and our server was helpful in making a decision. We had the German meatballs and the Reuben with a house salad and both were very good. Very generous portions. We topped off the meal with apple strudel, which was delicious. Service was average. All in all, a good experience.

Note: picture is of next door Scandinavian structure... the restaurant is very modern.A very busy place, with limited parking.A long wait... 30 to 40 minutes, followed by slow service.The food, however, is quite good, with a nice selection to choose from.Just don't be in a rush..

Home made sausage and luncheon meat and salads and baked goods. And they do it right. Terrific selection of german groceries and beer. Oh, the mustards and candy!. My favorites; black forest ham. pork breakfast sausage, veal loaf, pimento loaf and homemade frankfurters. Lots of european cheeses and meats like dried ham. The reuben sandwich is good, but the cafe part of the store is so tiny that we usually take food home. Prices good and parking.
