Teddington is on the north bank of the Thames, just after the start of a long meander, between Hampton Wick and Strawberry Hill, Twickenham. Mostly residential, it stretches from the Thames to Bushy Park with a long high street reaching down to pubs, restaurants, leisure premises, fields and fitness clubs by the riverside, having a pedestrian suspension bridge over the lowest non-tidal lock on the Thames, Teddington Lock. Jean-Philippe, Kim and Jerome have run Le Petit Nantais with impeccable passion and dedication for more than 20 years, and yet they all still manage to make every visit feel like a special occasion. I went with my family today and had roast pork with honey and ginger, boudin noir and pommes puree which was amazing. Others had traditional cassoulet, and steak poivre.JP and Mrs are always delightful to chat to, and Jerome does a great job always. Even if he did forget to tell me about the Rose Veal. Thanks you Petit Nantais, and thank you JP for the wonderful piece of veal you gave me for my birthday. Le Petit Nantais, classic French cuisine, cooked by a gifted and experienced chef, in a well run place. Thank you very much we really appreciate you taking the time to post a lovely review. Lovely restaurant in Teddington fabulous atmosphere . Great outside seating space ( if you get cold theyâve loads of blankets !) inside really nice bar area with live piano playing !!Good menu enough choice really good quality produce used and cooked to perfection we loved it!

As an Italian living in London, I have never, and stress never found a restaurant which would serve freshly cooked pasta rather than the floppy, mushy, sad looking spaghetti which have been precooked. This might sound as a detail, but friends, precooked pasta is the death of Italian civilisation as we know it. Masaniello is the outstanding exception to the norm, their pasta is al dente, the choice is varied from antipasto to dessert and every single dish is as you would expect to eat in Italy. No silly compromise to blend into the uniformity of mainstream restaurateur malarkey , pure, unadulterated Italian. We love it and we feel very lucky to have a place locally which happens to be one of the best , most authentic restaurants in the capital. Continuate così, ragazzi!

This is a newish venture which certainly deserves to succeed: charming service, impressive food (lamb, pork, padron peppers, croquetas, octopus all really good in tapas form), good wine list, very reasonably priced. We had a very enjoyable dinner and we would definitely return. A fine addition to the local dining scene.

We enjoyed todayâs lunch offering whilst watching Three Dunkirk little ships returning to their 1940 starting point to await the opening of the Teddington lock. All were flying the White Ensign defaced with the arms of Dunkirk which is their unique privilege. To eat we had a variety of dishes soup, curry, sea bass, hot peach crumble and ice cream. All were very good and tasty. The surprise of the lunch though was the most magnificent dish of chips huge ones piping hot crisp on the outside and wonderfully fluffy and flowery in the inside.....the best ever !they put Mr Heston Blumenthalâs offerings in the shade. I am used to a bog standard G&T. My son chose a rhubarb gin for me and it did not disappoint. A good start to an amazing experience. The food was really flavoursome and delicious. The service was impecible. My one problem was the noise but by the end of the week everyone was in high spirits and I doubt anything can be done about the noise. I am looking forward to a lunchtime birthday celebration shortly and perhaps the place will be quieter!

My boyfriend and I were in the area after visiting Hampton Court and found this small italian restaurant. We were very pleased with our choice as the food was really good and the staff very polite. Pizza was lovely and crispy and there are quite a few interesting choices on the menu beyond the classic Margherita. The Gorgonzola e Noci and Dolce Vita pizza were both very tasty and light. The Sicilian panzerotti we had for dessert were delicious and not something you find in many Italian restaurants menus.
