I was today showing a friend the kings tour across the Hochkonig ski area, when she spotted this hut from the lift and said that , looks nice, i have never been before so on the way back we called in, we were greeted with a very warm and friendly smile, we ordered a hot chocolate and a Goulash soup, the Hot chocolate was ok, not the best i have ever had, but nothing wrong with it, served in a designed cup on a wooden tray, then came the Goulash soup, which was superb, we also saw other food coming out of the kitchen which all looked excellent, i will defo be back to try a large meal, just as we were leaving live music was also starting, around midday ish, the whole restaurant inside and out was clean and modern with a mountain style, overall very impressed

This is a fun place to hike to (we came over the Gabuehel, but it's closer from Dienten) and to admire their distillery and try some of their (exotic) liquors. The son starting helping in the distillery at age 6 and started his own "brews" at age 10. With 15 he won two awards for his creations and overall their family of liquors won over 25 awards over the course of the last 10 years. The Austrian food we tried was also excellent and they offer nice, shady seating right along their farmhouse. You can tell how proud the family is for all the international recognition and all of their liquors are for sale - a fun place to visit if you are in the area.Thank you very much for the very good recomendBest regards from the mountainsFamily Rainer

We ate here twice during our stay. The pizza menu was very traditional, as a vegetarian I would of liked the option of adding toppings to a Margarita. However my husband had the Inferno pizza which he thoroughly enjoyed very hot and spicy. the portions of pommes frites (chips) were huge . All at very reasonable prices .The staff were helpful and polite.
Hotel Gasthof Bräu Familiengeführtes Hotel mit Restaurant im Zentrum von Rauris gelegen sehr gute Küche, das Haus verfügt über 30 Wohneinheiten, Doppelzimmer, Familienzimmer und Appartements, eine Ferienwohnung im "Haus Katharina" (Nebenhaus) gepflegter S
Hotel/Restaurant- very busy, we hadn't booked but the very friendly staff found us a table. Unfortunately the menu didn't have English underneath as with most restaurants, but we did OK. As they were obviously busy, service was a bit slow, but we were on holiday. Good for families, good food, Beer great!

We had read great reviews so booked our last night here. The waitress was extremely good with our tired daughter and seemed very busy in the downstairs of the restaurant. However I never saw her without a smile. The service was a little slower than I would expect but nothing was too much trouble. We were disappointed that we could not order spaghetti with tomato sauce as a childâs portion. However we managed to share the adult portion and it was delicious as was the rest of our meal.

Located just above the gondola station this alm has a large outside terrace with fantastic views across the mountains. On this visit we stopped for morning coffee before setting off for a walk. We have previously been here in winter when everything is a bit frantic as skiers take a break from the slopes. This time it was a peaceful and relaxing interlude in warm sunshine.

Steinbokalm is situated at the top of piste 29: easy to get to whichever way you are following the Hochkonig circuit. There is a large outside area and inside there is a choice of either the original building - old, traditional, timber built - or the new modern area with a glass wall showing one of the best views of the Alps I have every seen.Food is well priced and absolutely delicious. Waiters are competent and friendly.Atmospheric, attractive restaurant and, in our opinion, the best in the area
Authentic place in the middle of nowhere. We only had drinks but it seems nice enough to spend more time there - whether outside or inside. Looks great anyway. Recommend.

My family and I had a very pleasant lunch at the Maria Elend. The food was good - excellent vegetarian options in addition to the ubiquitous Wienerschnitzel -, the service friendly, the view just stunning. Rolling green mountains, cow herds, dark brown chalets with geraniums, blue skies, and this perfect little terrace under the cutest chapel I've seen in a long time. Paradise in Austria, complete with a very good apple tart (not strudel, mind you).

We highly recommend this restaurant in the area between Zell am See and Schwarzach. The food is delicious and prepared to perfection. The service is welcoming, friendly and very professional. This will become a regular venue for us to visit while we are on holiday in the area.
